what's the no s diet? no sugar no snacks no Smirnoff? lollol

been to gym twice and sticking to low gi diet. I was saying to my sister that I do think I have a sugar addiction- the diet gets easier the longer I stick to it, it's when I have a treat I want to have more. so I shall be like an alcohol anonymous person and take it day by day :)

so my aim is gym Monday Wednesday Friday for C25K and weightlifting, then maybe weekends too for swimming and hydrotherapy pool as a treat :) my personal weigh in day is Thursdays and I've lost 1.3lbs so far this week so on track for my 2lb a week goal :) xx

    Good morning,

I'm really really sorry if I offended or upset anyone with my post last night - its something I feel strongly about but this was probably not the right place to post it. I'm just a bit cynical from bad experiences but in 99.9999% of cases this doesn't happen. )

You shouldnt be worried about offending anybody, this thread is for people asking for advice and what others experiences are in the ttc journey, which unfortunately can often include losses.

Everybody is entitled to share their experiences/thoughts without fear of offending, not everybody will agree on everything all the time!

The last time I attempted a low carb diet it made my breath so stinky that OH wouldn't come anywhere near me, even after mouthwash. It did make me lose 8lbs in a week but since I'm trying to get pregnant and need OH to have sex with me, better not do that.

    QUOTE]

Plenty of ways around that one if you know what I mean! Who said it needs to be face to face?

I'd rather be slim and sexy and fertile with stinky breath than fat with normal breath but each to their own I'm aware not all methods work for everyone.

I just thought I'd share the research I read about.

Haha I wasn't saying your breath is stinky. It's likely for you that you just get the pear drop thing, which isn't so bad but for some reason mine goes full blown dog/dragon breath. I'd love to do the low carb thing but sadly it's hard enough to get DH in the mood as it is without having to do it with my back to him. :rotfl::rotfl:

No S diet is no sweets, no snacks, no seconds except sometimes on days beginning with S, including special days. So at the weekend and on birthdays you can eat some bad stuff but during the week its just breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can have Smirnoff if you want.:j

  • Right my aim for this year is to reach my healthy BMI range. My current BMI is 27.41 (I'm 12st 7lbs- managed to put 7lbs on over Christmas like some sort of eating champion...). I would like to be 10st 7lbs as that would give me a BMI of 23.03. Depending on how the fertility investigations go I don't want my weight to be the thing that slows any treatment down!

I will be following the SW extra easy plan (making menu today and braving the supermarkets later...). I aim to do my insanity DVD at least 4 times a week (you're supposed to do it 6 but we'll see!) with the exception of a week or two in two weeks time when I will be recovering post-op and won't be able to do it.

    10st 7lbs- I will be you by Summer- I promise! :)

After my miscarriage at Leigh the nurse said to me 'remember, we only scan if there is pain or bleeding' in a nudge nudge wink wink kind of way ;)

I'm similar to you TCD - I need to lose around 1.5 stones to get in the healthy BMI range, soooo gutted that I'd lost a stone (out of two) before xmas but put half on again. I think when you know you're supposed to be on a diet it does make you eat more when you're not, like being let out of jail for the day or something.

Problem I have at the moment is I'm not well, and feeling nauseous (wish it was morning sickness ha ha but no chance of that) and its hard to do low carb as all I want to eat is bland things like toast, but I'll have to do what I can or I'll end up putting everything I lost back on, so today I've had to say no more.

Can't even think about exercising at the moment - or BD for that matter and it's make a baby week next week. OH said I'll have to get better for that. I'm tempted to tell him to go and do it in a cup himself or something and then just hand me the goods!!!!

Does anyone else ever wish they could just do that?

I did Insanity too! It's soooo addictive and I love it! I love it so much that it's been in a box for the last 18 months :o! Maybe I'll dust it off and get DH to do it with me again. It was amazing for toning up, but I didn't see any weight loss when I did it .

Wigan - Hope your nan's OK. You're right, she probably is in the best place, but it's still a horrid thing to go through!

AFM - still awaiting O, but I'm confident that it'll happen at the end of this week. Been BD-ing like mad (off work = no stress= more in the mood! :o), and will continue until the end of next week, when I'll probably fall in a heap on the floor!

Also on the weight loss wagon - speaking of no-carb, I did Dukan for my wedding last year and lost 2.5 stone pretty easily (down to BMI 26). It literally just fell off, but it was hard to stick to, boring and Code is right - I was stinky!! lol! I've put some of it back on, but I've now got a cheapie app on my phone for counting WW propoints, tracking them and adding them up. I would like something more balanced than Dukan was, and a bit less brutal!!

Hugs and baby dust to all!
