This happened with my OH best friend. According to his wife they weren't trying and 'celebrated' the husbands birthday and got pregnant one time of not using protection but according to the husband they tried for 14 months before they got knocked up. I think there are lots of people who just don't like to admit that its not always straight forward.0 -

That reminds me of some friends we have- the wife told me she was on the pill it was an accident, the husband said they'd been trying for a while - plus the other week when they found out about us said she had a miscarriage before their baby. Whether she was or wasn't on the pill I'm not sure but it clearly wasn't as accidental as she made me think it was! I think perhaps because she was pretty young maybe she didn't want people to know it was on purpose.0 -

Especially as usually people lay blame on the woman. Who needs that crap?
Although I'm afraid I do get pg really easily as long as I DTD at the right time. The pregnant quickly thing I have my views on - I think it happens as often as it takes ages, and can't think of why these two parallel universes co exist! I think i am experienceing each - with my son I was very very lucky - I will admit to forgetting my pill a couple of times, but I was on the pill, i had uncontrolled diabetes, I was drinking and going out a lot and basically doing everything I shouldn't and I got pregnant the first month my partner moved in and luckily all was fine (with the baby - my health was another story).
I will say that me and OH were at it like rabbits as we'd just moved in together after a long distance relationship. So we were at it every day and can't have failed to miss o time just by default. I met another couple of ladies whilst preg and they said similar, that they hadn't meant to fall but did. My friend got a lass he'd known for 6 weeks upduffed (they are still together ), they were careless about contraception but not exactly trying.
Then on the other side of the fence there are couples who've been trying years with nowt to show for it. My brother and his wife for example tried 6 years, eventually had IVF successfully though.
I have a feeling I'll be waiitng a while this time around and I'm ok with that I think - so long as it does happen in the end. I'll just get on with life and try not to get too frustrated.
I really can't fathom out why there's this parallel universe situation regards getting pregnant - but annoyingly for those who are waiting and trying, there is.
Part of me just feels lucky to be in a position to be able to try, to be honest - I was permasingle for seven years in my 20s-early 30s, and never thought mr right would come along in any case.0 -
My sister got pregnant whilst on the pill and wasn't trying at all.
Cd 29, 2 dpo and skin break out. Think af is on her way again.

Work is manic at the moment so no chance to catch up during the dayDon't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Hi all... Hope everyone is ok. Oh is fast asleep after bding, and I've got the cat lying on me while I watch celebrity big brother (I am ashamed to admit that!)
Cd14 so hoping it was a well timed bd, but have forgotten to use opks this month. I think if we don't get pg this month wwe're going to ntnp for a few months as we get married exactly one year today!!0 -
Welcome newbies
MV - All the very best for tomorrow.:A
Sorry been MIA not doing so great at the moment & need to shift my little grey cloud.:o:o:o:oIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
I hope you shift your cloud soon tinkwings and good luck for tomorrow (well I suppose it's today now!) mv.
Duo have emailed me to say they think I've ovulated (I think they're going to say around CD26) but need a few days more data to tell me exactly when. FF still hasn't moved my ov day from cd20 though and that's when I had ewcm... (and also the day that my sleep pattern went out of the window...)
I suppose if Duo is right and FF/ewcm are wrong then I've gone and cocked up my 'day 21' bloods which I had taken on Monday.... Pffff. If you'd like to add me on FF I'm under the same user name as on here.
Here's my latest chart
