Trying for a Baby Part 8

Off topic - does anyone have any good ways to get rid of hiccups? I've had them 4 times today already and they're beginning to hurt!
Before we were TTC, I'd just take a tiny sip from a scotch bottle (one I didn't like), which would immediately make me stop hiccuping. With my 'no alcohol except during AF' rule, I can't do that now and these things are driving me crazy! Thanks in advance!0 -
Hello ladies !
Soz i've been MIA for a couple of weeks what with hectic work and then christmas etc. But i'm back, and in the 2ww....
Think i ov'd on saturday, but not sure, i never am ! We really went or it this motnh though, with BD every day since CD10, final BD tonight i think just to be sure, DH has got in the swing of it and is loving all the extra BD he's getting ! Feeling very positive this cycle
And my sis in law just announced her pregnancy at xmas, felt abit emotional, but she's alot older than me so it was her turn first ! It was so amazing how she announced it though, with scan pictures in our presents... the grandparents had never seen a scan pic before though and had no idea what it is, they just sort of said 'errr thankyou' and put it on the coffee table thinking it was some sort of modern art !!!
Havent read back yet, do that now, hope you're all well  happy new year !0 -
So, the doctor just called and I'm NOT being referred to a fertility clinic as we have to have been trying for 2 years and she's very sorry for mis-informing me. So I just have to really hope that my CBFM is the magic key to helping us have a baby since we can't rely on anyone else!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

hugs Birdie, that's rubbish. But never mind. 2013 is the year of the baby so we're all going to be pg with forever babies.
welcome wigan. Hope your stay is short. Sorry about your OH's miscarriage.Things to know: there's a list of abbreviations on the first page in case you don't know what we're on about. We share far too much information so no question is off limits. You could try taking conception or pregnancy vitamins and your OH should take folic acid if she isn't already. Sex every 2-3 days though the cycle should have you covered though you might want to ramp it up around ov.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

She has been taking folic acid for the last few months again and finished her period on the 27th so we have been trying everyday since, we was trying for 7 months before she found out last time and she knew straight away the month we found out so hoping it happens again soon

Birdie, i don't know your financial situation and obv this is MSE, but have you considered seeing a specialist privately for a one off consultation, and possibly some preliminary tests, if you could afford it. This is often a lot more affordable than if you are going for the actual treatment, but can give you a lot of information you wouldn't otherwise have had which can help. How long have you been TTC now? Do you ovulate normally (as far as you are aware)?
I had a (totally unrelated to TTC) health problem last year and was not happy with the NhS so went for a private consultation so I could ask as many questions as I wanted and it was expensive, but worth it for the peace of mind.
Hopefully I will get referred to a FS soon if no joy, as I'm over 35 the wait is not as long, but if I didn't get the answers I wanted or if they said I had to wait longer to go, I'd definitely consider going private.0 -

Are you using anything to determine ov like opks, temping, monitoring cm? If she's not regular (like many of us on this thread) they can be a big help.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Would you recommend anything else?2010 Super League Grand Final Winners :beer:0 -
There are a whole load of things people on this thread use from an array of vitamins, supplements and herbal concoctions, to lunaception, to using special lubes for conception like preseed or conceive+. Think it depends how much you want to throw at it.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

OK... My 2 new years resolutions are
1 - lose weight... Ideally about a stone before may...( holiday)
2- our joint resolution is to BD 3 times a week... We both know we need to make more of an effort!
