It really does sound like you need a break Tea! ;)

Just had a letter through with an appointment for an ultrasound on the 9th January. Depending on the results it may be time for me to slink over to the 12m+ thread. :o

Right, I need to crack on with the house today as I have my very fussiest friend coming over tonight, and things are a bit strained between us at the moment anyway following a falling out earlier this year. I'm sure it'll all be fine once she's here, but I can't help feeling a bit anxious about it at the moment... and DH isn't going to be here as he's been called in to work a late shift

I've been sent my ultrasound appointment (for 9th January) which all seems to make sense: US pelvis, US transvaginal... but then it also says US urinary tract with no further explanation... what on earth, surely this is done at the same time as the pelvis? I think I may just be dense - I only ever see baby-related ones at work. I'm a bit concerned about all the water too, I have a weak bladder at the best of times, let's hope they don't keep me waiting too long! :rotfl:

Our other big news is that we're now planning to move. We were staying in our housing association place as it's so cheap and we wanted to save for a deposit to buy - however our car has just been vandalised again (2 tyres slashed this time) so we're not really saving anything by being here and it's just freaking both of us out... DH is horrified whenever I have to walk home from work in the dark (which given that my shifts are 12.5 hours, is every working day) and he's too scared to walk to our local shops or pub as last time he did someone threatened to stab him

It's a shame because we've spent a bit of time and money doing this place up, but there's the possibility that my little sis and her boyf and baby could move in... the area they live in is even worse atm and they don't have a car so they're quite happy with the prospect. As much as we'd like to buy, it's not really worth sacrificing our health and happiness for.

Aww (((((HUGS Birdie and Amyloofoo))))). Good news to get those appointments booked in, but I'm sorry you're having to go through them in the first place. Fingers crossed for all good news and New Year BFPs. TTC is a real rollercoaster of emotions.

CD19 here and no imminent sign of AF. Hoping for a longer cycle than 20 days days this time - that would be good progress. I failed miserably to keep up the POAS (or in a pot) regime so no idea about Ov. Thinking around CD12 from CM which I seemed to have this month.

I can't help but hope for good news, but trying hard to put a dampner on myself. Plenty of deadlines to do that for me :rotfl:

  • Afternoon gang.

Managed to get all my Christmas shopping done. Dropped DS off with OH in his lunch hour, and whizzed about and got it all done in an hour. Have spent loads, and am really overdrawn, but I figure we'll sort it out in Jan (famous last words!)

Bought 2 pregnancy tests too - one Boots own and one CB digital.

Just having them in the house makes me nervous!

Does anyone else find testing traumatic? :o

Totally! I'm actually glad that I never usually get to that point. I have v erratic cycles but the LP is usually spot on so at least I know when AF is arriving if I've spotted ov correctly.

I've only got to the testing part a couple of times but I just find it really depressing... obv I wouldn't think that if I ever got the second line!

Good luck... when is test day?

Oh, and am v jealous that you're all sorted for Christmas :p.

Then again, the eggs aren't washed and soaked in bleach before they go to the stores here either.

She's given me some homework - pressure points in the hands to stimulate your ovaries etc. if anyone wants a copy of the photocopy let me know

Oo i'd love a copy Kte, shall i pm you my email address ? I've never pm'd before though so i'll have to work out how to do that first !

Afm i'm not 100% sure where i am in my cycle, i think i ov'd really early (well i definately had ewcm) after my last messed up long cycle. So i may be 13DPO or 7DPO, having lots of cramps though so AF may be on her way. Either way, we did do lots of BDing for a week and half, hopefully covered all eventualities !

MV - good plan about the weekend testing, i agree that it'd be better to be at home and take your time to register the result, whether + or - rather than have to do that at work !

Tea lover - LOL at the paper ! I totally thought it was gonna be a mouse !
  • Tea, I am 10dpo today so really if I was being sensible, I'd probably test on Monday, but I really don't want to get up at 6am, POAS and have to go off to work feeling depressed, so I think I'll maybe do one on saturday morning. I've had BFP's at 10 and 11dpo so if it's +, I should know by then.

The LP is the time between ov and AF coming isn't it?
