Trying for a Baby Part 8

I'm quite upset about it too, I've always lurked around here since I was about 18, and was learning how to set up and run a house. I got tons of good advice here and it seems such a shame to throw that all away and divide everyone up, and for no good reason either.0

Lemon I'm with you on the hibernating. Spent most of the morning in bed, got up for a couple of hours, felt dizzy and depressed so went back to bed again.
Just got up and it's dark outside...lovely.
That's pretty much what I've done too, though I think it was compounded by my first proper night shifts in aaaaages.... now I have to get up at 5am tomorrow and I've slept all day :rotfl:All of my shifts at the new job are 12.5 hours long, which is good in that I only do 3 or 4 a week, but switching between days and nights is really messing up my body clock. Really hoping for a slew of late BFPs for this month, otherwise I may have to agree that November is the most depressing month, what with it containing mine and hubby's birthdays as well as hardly any BFPs, constant worrying about Christmas and whinging from relatives.
My house is an absolute state, so I've employed Mum to come in for a couple of hours a week to help me out (figure that's what my DLA is for, and she could do with a few extra pennies)... but I'm concerned that I'm about to imminently get the "if you think it's bad now then how are you going to cope when you have a baby, blah blah blah". Of course if/when I have a baby I'm unlikely to be doing so many 12.5 hour shifts, and hubby will have to be a bit less useless around the house; but trying to explain that can feel like a bit of a cop outI don't know why Mum would whinge though, it's not like I didn't learn this from her. She's excellent at cleaning other people's houses, but she's a chronic hoarder in her own and you wouldn't believe the conditions we grew up in. I might struggle to put the ironing away, have waaaay too many clothes and be a bit lazy in cleaning the rooms we don't really go into, but there's absolutely no way my child would ever be raised like we were.
I agree about the new boards. I think I'm probably being a little hormonal and over sensitive, but it did make me have a brief pause of "oh, it's like that is it?"Fannyanna, thanks for the kind words, I'm sure I'll get it sorted, it's just knowing what to do for the best. I've spoken to work and there's a *possibility* that I may be able to do a nursing degree in my current job, but I'd have to move wards as they don't offer it in midwifery
Such a shame because I love my current ward and would really like to be a midwife, but I know I'm going to get increasingly frustrated with not being able to do things I'm already qualified to do because I'm not registered
Oh and the pay's rubbish of course :rotfl:
Big hugs to all (especially Atton, fannyanna, MV, code, TeamLowe, abis and anyone else on CD1 / currently upset or poorly) :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:0 -
Hello ladies,
No AF still, but BFN again here, so i'm out for this month, must be a one-off long one. Might be the time-change after all ! Anyhoo, could you please take me off the list Abis. I'll post when i'm on CD1.
Hugs to you all, haven't had time to read back yet, just this page, but i see that there's been some kind of name change on the boards.... off to investigate !0 -
I get that nagging from my Mum Amy
I use my DLA to pay her to clean the kitchen twice a week as it hurts me to bend over to reach everything. She forgets I'm still recovering and will be fine by the time I actually get pregnant and wait 9 months.

Hi everyone
I'm not a fan of the new name for the forum either, can't understand why they changed it....
Can't actually remember how many dpo I am (as on phone and calendars on there!) But AF is due on Friday so think I'm 10-11 dpo now. Weird thing is I have NO pmt symptoms - usually get shouty and sore b o o b s by now, but I have literally nothing, not sure if this is good sign or not!
Hugs to all those who want and need them, I'm off to catch up now....0 -

Still not CD1, just no BFP ! Two BFNs at 18DPO and 20DPO are pretty conclusive though. Just waiting now...
Thankyou anyway0 -
Hi all,
Firefly- finished my last packet of the pill in April. Was regular as clockwork before that so was really disappointed it seemed to have messed me up.:(
Agree with you all about the new forum title. Logged on tonight and was like, great, not welcome here then! Why did it even need changed. The old title was much more relevant to the threads anyway.:p
Hugs to all the cd1s. Whoever said we hav all synced cycles was right!
Fanny- I think you should give them the letter also. It would really make them think twice about being so hard on you. Big hugs.
You have all been so busy today. Any word on becca?
Glad youve joined us 'full time' corgette!
Amy- cant imagine feeling this broody and having to work in a maternity ward! Although maybe some of the things you see can put u off for a while!
Must dash. Need to rinse out hair dye. Hugs and love to all that need it!0 -
