Fannyanna - I too would give them the letter. Altho, even then they probably won't actually understand it. People don't understand who haven't been through it :o You can think you would know what it feels like - but in reality you would have no idea. Maybe the letter would be a start for them to have an insight in to your feelings. It sounds like you need some support from them.

I take it from the salt in wound bits, that your husband has access to his children and that you are struggling at times to join in. I can understand your frustrations at this. But I do feel the need to comment, as my daughter is not my husbands child - she was 2.5 when I met him. She sees her dad, step-mum and step-brother regularly, and she has me as her mom, and a step dad. Its been a struggle for us to TTC #2, and her dad and stepmom conceived their #2 as an accident.

I would hate to thing that if it was the other way round with TTC#2 that her stepmom would resent her. Or that DH resents her now. :o I just like to think that step-children and your own children are all treated equally :o I know and understand that you long for a child of your own, and there is a physical need to be pregnant and experience that - and that it hurts so much emotionally too. But as a stepmom you also have an opportunity to care for children and enjoy the family life. :o

Sorry if I am speaking out of turn here. I can see you are hurting already and I don't want to upset you further. :o But sometimes you have to take the plaster off and let it scab over in order for it heal properly. :o

Well it's CD1 yet again. Just as painful as usual so I'll be spending the day with chocolate, a hot water bottle, painkillers, and killing demons in video games :p

    Any other closet gamers here?
  • Not a gamer Raz but I work for a gaming company!

    Sorry for CD1.

Actually CD1's are the in thing here at the moment, so join the exclusive CD1 Gang! ;)

  • Sorry for CD1 abis. I honestly can't believe how many of us are out this month! It's crazy!

Good PMA though! I've instructed OH to get his engines running as I want top-notch sperm-injection this month and we are down for a sticky bean too! :rotfl:

    Maybe we'll end up bump-buddies??? :p

When are you testing zippy????? That's a lot of bonking you've been up to! I don't think my OH could cope with that. He'd be begging for mercy! :rotfl:

Afternoon ladies, hugs for the cd1s

BigZ that's impressive, fingers crossed extra hard that it works out :)

Well I've done myself a mischief somehow and ended up with my back in spasm, so had to take day off work to go to doctors and rest. DH has taken the day off too to 'look after me' although it seems to mainly consist of playing skyrim upstairs

Raz I do try to be a gamer but I'm useless at fps. Oh and I love the Bioshock world but I'm too scared to play it, it's well spooky! Just played it for ten minutes then had to turn it off cos I got freaked out lol x x

TeamLowe, give Amnesia: The Dark Decent a go then, it's really cheep on steam, and super scary xD I play it in a dark room for about 10 mins at a time before I get too spooked out and quit :p Great fun. I'm pretty rubbish at FPS games too, but apart from that I'm pretty good.

Just dropping in to say hello - and hugs to CD1s, and especially Fannyanna. I say send it if you still feel like it - but like BZ says, you may then be subject to advice.

I mentioned it in passing to my gay best friend recently, and his boyfriend told me 'darrhhling, just put your legs up in the air for a while after'. I then wrestled the wine from him, and all was happy again! :)

And what's with the new forum name!?!
