Tea lover, looks like you are in the same boat as me:o
Do you know what caused it? In our case it's probably because of the op he had in that area when he was young.
If there is something wrong with all our DH's sperms, the only option is a donor or adoption:o Fingers crossed there's one normal spermy in there:cool:

    Morning lovely,
so far we've no idea what's caused it. There's not been any ops, or accidents, or illnesses we can think of. AFAIK the next step will be tests for things like cystic fibrosis. Just have my fingers v tightly crossed that there's something usable in there! If we can at least get something to try ICSI with it will give us a chance, however teeny.
We haven't talked about it properly yet (OH needs to have a week or so to sulk/mull it over first, then we discuss things) but I would be amazed if he'd entertain the idea of DS.

Is it normal for clomid to stop you ovulating?? I thought it was supposed to regulate things, but so far the two cycles I've been on it I've ov'd later than before I was taking it. There's still no sign of Bring on the Egg this month.

Tealover, I'm so very sad to hear of your husband's latest SA result. Hope you are both as ok as you can be :( As with any medication, a "paradoxical reaction" is possible...the lady on that blog I posted (on 12m+) had the same problem with clomid. It's not "normal" but it does, apparently, happen.

Good luck ladies, I'm still quietly cheering you on from Barren Corner ;)

    Hey guys,
Sorry I've been missing, rough time what with awful family n the like but back now. I'm cd16 and on my cbfm (shiny new toy!!) I've had highs now for 9 days. Thinking that's perhaps not the best results. Waiting patiently for that peak.
What's the script with soy?? I see a few folk talking about it but I'm clueless.
Will need to go catch up but hugs for now.

Oh and my prediction is 7 this month!!!!

Just been to the doctor's, I cried all the way home. :(:o

Apparently we can't be referred to the hospital for any tests until we've been trying for 18 months. And even then he won't refer us unless our BMIs are under 30. 'You have been under 30 before,' he said, looking at my notes. Gee thanks that's helpful, you sarcy, horrible little man.

I knew my weight was a problem, but I thought you had to be under a certain BMI for IVF not for tests and things. Guess I should have done my research better. But as for the 18 month thing? Someone at DH's work is pregnant and got referred after 12 months.

One positive thing I guess is that I can go for a blood test on CD21. He said that'll be when I'm ovulating. Erm probably not because that would mean a one week wait wouldn't it? What is he on about? Can anyone shed any light?

Although nothing further can be done until 18 months. They won't even test DH's swimmers until then.

Went to see him about the health issue that I've been managing and for the second time asked to see a dietician. He said he'd write to them but basically not to expect to be able to see one. 'They're busy...' etc. So how come when I rang them for a bit of advice they said to get my doctor to refer me urgently and that it would definitely be something they could help me with?

I just don't get it. Does it cost them money to refer patients etc?

One other thing about not getting referred to hospital. I spoke to a nurse there last time I had my smear and she checked for other things as I said we were TTC. I said about my weight and she actually said not to worry too much about it as I'll put on weight when pregnant anyway, and she said to come back when we'd been trying for 12 months...

I am so upset and angry right now. Sorry to harp on about it.

BZ, nice to see you, hope you are ok. x

Aw don't call it that. :( I was out with a couple of friends the other week and one said to our single friend 'you have to hurry up and get married and have kids before you're barren.' Couldn't believe the cheek of it, and neither could our single friend. Then I thought, is that what she thinks I am? Barren?

I've just been reading some more of that blog and so far I think I could have written every word. Just read the part about her ov'ing (irregularly, but still happening) then starting clomid and boom... nothing. Am weirdly reassured that it's not just me. Feel like a total freak tbh, two drugs that are supposed to regulate my cycles seem to have stopped them. Doesn't hold out much hope for ICSI if I can't even respond properly to clomid.

Girls, I wasn't expecting this at all, but just got a BFP!! Im shocked and actually shaking..

Im 4 days late but was sure it was due to my not ovulating last month, I did POAS on 11dpo just in case as we were playing badminton that day but it was a BFN. I thought I'd POAS just now and it came up straight away!!

I have hardly any symptoms though, just slightly sore boobs, and very very slight cramps. Fingers crossed its a sticky - its my first BFP

Just tried to call DH but couldnt get through, I want to wait to tell him in person but I couldnt resist calling him...
