tealover - ((hugs)). Is the maternity package that brilliant that it's worth staying for? You would get SMP in another job, or Maternity Allowance (almost equivalent to SMP) if you weren't eligible for SMP. Anyway, I hope your meeting goes well tomorrow - will be thinking of you! xx

They do offer EMP but I'd only be taking SMP as I've got no intention of returning here afterwards (any EMP would have to be paid back if I didn't return for at least 6 months).

I just don't see that I can start another job then a) need lots of time off for FS appts, and b) take maternity leave.

Plus of course the job market is pretty rubbish so there's certainly no guarantee I could even find anything.

I'm paying most of the household expenses at the moment, and we just can't afford to lose my salary.

Aw tealover, that sounds like a really tough situation, i really feel for you. Take 2 minutes out and make a mental list of all the positive things in your life outside of your job. ((Hugs))

Big hugs atton and tea lover and everyone else who is having a difficult day :(

Been away for a bit, life getting hectic, and went camping ast the weekend which was great but exhausting.

Wasn't ttc this month and was no chance of getting pregnant, but af was soooo late I still did a sneaky test lol. BFN and af arrived today. A 19 day luteal phase - never been this long before!

Good morning, rainy October here today:o
Well done lilymay & mogwai for predicting 5 BFPs this month:T

Looks like I'm gearing up for ov re ewcm. Not that it matters since DH is not here:(

atton, you will not fail at the uni. They took you on because they think you'll pass this:cool:
Elsie, I think you are 1DPO:) FF will let you know when they think you've reached 3DPO:cool:
mrshappy, you do all that? Well done, you are super human:T
tea lover, (((hugs))). 4hr commute is a bit long though:(
amyloofoo, that's a great PMA list, must make one for me one of these days:cool:
tinkwings, (((hug))). The scan will be fine:)
    JoJoB, (((hugs))) for CD1:(
LP of 19 days sounds too long, I think you may have ov'd a bit later than you thought.

morning ladies *checks to see it is still morning * 2 or 3dpo for me I think. Managed to dtd on thursday and ovd either Friday or Saturday (still had cm on Saturday but much less then total dry up yesterday), so hoping that my body didnt kill all the swimmers waiting for the egg. Got a lot of occasions coming up where it will be really obvious if I dont drink so not sure whether to test on 13 october (big family party) which will be 14 or 15 dpo or just let the arrival of af run its course.

Code - why don't you make a thing of it? I quit drinking for a month, and told everyone it was part of my new plan to not drink for at least 1 month a year to 'detox'. Which is sort of was, but also got rid of the annoying questions about being pregnant.

And, in hindsight, it was an overall good thing. Not that I would say I enjoyed it, but was worth it to prove that I could! It is Stoptober this month, aimed at smokers, but you could say you are following that principle re alcohol for your own health.

*hugs* to tealover for the horrible job situation, i don't understand why we can't have crystal balls so we know what's going to happen and can plan around it. just the major things, life's little joys can still be a suprise :)

QQ i'm afraid i need a finger wagging, coffee tastes really mank today, can i blame MV for putting that thought in my head? lol feel a bit queasy too, but that could be cos i forgot to take my metformin on saturday so thought it would be clever to take a double dose on sunday. it's not lol
speaking of which, my doctors are FINALLY updating my repeat perscription, i asked about it when ordering and she went 'oh yeah, we should have that letter by now then' when i said i saw the consultant a month ago lol (really, has it been a month? time's ticking away!)

I've started on my PMA list already, mainly that when i *should* be due on i'm at a housewarming in Sussex with old uni friends and i'm so looking forward to getting drunk with them :D. only beggar to that is if i'm on i'll sleeping on an airbed and i get a bad back the first day as it is. oh well, vodka will blot out the pain :) x x
