Tomorrow. It's written, printed, signed and in the envelope. I just need to find the right time to and chat with my boss. It is for sure the best thing to do....still, I'm a little nervous. Hopefully be finishing at at the end of October.

I'm okay. I just want to be pregnant again :(

Good luck for your scan chick - is it just an early one? How many weeks are you now? xx

  • Evening all ladies, hope all is well. I am having a bit of a panic tonight - I have an interview for a new job - I've been in the same job for years so havent had an interview for about 8 or 9 years - I'm sure everything must have changed since then so I just dont know what to expect.
I'm really not enjoying my work at the moment but I'm also in two minds about whether or not I want to leave - i really want to keep TTC but I'm also worried about leaving all my benefits behind and having to wait 6 months before any kind of maternity with a new employer kicks in.
To be honest, I think I'm going to go to the interview tomorrow with the mindset of just getting some experience under my belt as if I do decide I really want to move on then at least I will have had some practice!

Now that I have started Metformin, I have decided to take up OPK's again this month to see if I can try and see if I am OV'ing - still on a very faint line at the moment so will hopefully see a positive in a few days.

You will be entitled to Stat Mat as long as you have been employed by someone from the 15th week before baby is due.

So...Basically, if you start your new job on Monday and that happens to be CD1, if you get pregnant that cycle you would be entitled to maternity pay and leave.

And for what it's worth, def go to the interview....experience is priceless.

Tinks - You will be in my thoughts. I'm sure it'll all be fine this time :j:j:j

It's hard to say without giving too much away about who I am..then again I have posted pictures so hmmm...
Anyway, I have been asked with co ordinating the diary of someone very important and on Friday she went to an engagement that had been changed to another date :/ I apologised profusely to her and she seemed ok with it. Emailed boss to tell him as he was off and he sent a very angry email back about he was personally embarrassed etc etc. talking to DH he said it seems like my boss is only bothered about him looking bad for it to higher ups

I just feel like in the only person in the world who makes mistakes and I'm an idiot. I may not wait until I'm pregnant to quit lol x

Im now thinking you are the Queens PA :)

We have been trying since January. I know that is not long in the grand scheme of things but I will be 38 shortly and my cycles are long and very unpredictable. Since January I have been really watching what I eat and exercising but have actually put on more weight despite my best efforts. I am hoping the doc will check my thyroid function and test me for insulin resistance as type II runs in my family. I don't want to leave it too long to ask for help. NHS website says women over 35 should try for six months before getting checked out and we have been trying for 9 months. I have only ever had very faint lines on OPKs and never a BFP.

Maybe seeing the doc will put your mind at rest if nothing else. Its funny really because youd think they would say see a doc if youve been trying for a shorter time when you are younger, as opposed to being 'older' - because it should take longer then. So I guess its more so you can get checked incase anything is wrong quicker, rather than it being a sign of anything - after all trying for a year to 18 months is totally normal at any age.

I have similar cycles and Im 28.

I wondered this too. I suspect asking people to wait 12/18/24 months or whatever random figure GP's pull out of the air is a good way of weeding out patients (some will forget, some relationships will end, some will change their minds etc).

I'm having a real chocolate craving at the moment but I feel uber sick. I think it's worry about tomorrow :(

Claire : Crossposted. I hate the phrase 'SAHM' or 'Full time mum' as to me, it just means unemployed. :o I'm not implying there is anything wrong with it in the slightest...I just hate the wording. And I am planning on spending a couple of months sleeping and enjoying DS and will probably look for something in the new year. That said, I'm a glutton for punishment so will probably be applying for jobs this time next week! Lol.

Ha yeah most likely! anything up to 2 years seems to be said as normal but seems like a lifetime when youre ttc!

Sounds like a good idea to have a small break. Also in the new year I reckon loads of people jack their jobs in so lots of new ones will come up. I think SAHM probably comes from americans, they seem to started off that phrase online. And housewife -well that sounds even worse :rotfl:
