LilyMay - nice to hear from you. I completely understand that sometimes you need to take a back seat - I try from time to time but then I end up posting again!
Hope that you can get hold of the medical records quickly and that they are helpful. Take care and let us know how you are getting along if/when you want to!

QQ - phew, I am going to take your wise advice and stop testing...! If OV is 12-36 hours after the first +ve then hopefully we might be in with a chance - we BD'd on Sunday night, about five hours after the first +ve OPK and if sperm can live for 48 hours... we might be ok.
No ewcm this morning which I will take as a good sign, so I'm going to stick with calling it 1DPO today!
Let the 2ww commence..0 -
The hampers sound great goodvibes! :T I make one for OH most years (when the inspiration hits!), he's had a Mexican one, a Star Trek one (since he's a massive geek!), a rugby one and last year he just asked for underwear and toiletries for Christmas since he was sick of running out all the time, so I made a big towel cake and stuffed it full of pants, socks and boy smellies! I've also made a movie night hamper for my brother, a cooks hamper for Dad and for my SIL a girls night in/girls night out (one half all pampering stuff and pjs etc, the other half make-up, jewellery and CDs etc) and a zero-calorie chocoholic hamper (full of chocolate/sweet scented smellies, undies and nighties with cakes on... basically if I found something with a cupcake or bar of chocolate on it that wasn't edible, it went in!
)
I'm struggling for ideas this year, my ideas bank has run dry.
I'm hoping for a BFP by December so I can just get the folks cute Grandparents gifts!
It's nice that you've got someone to talk to about all this too GVI work with a girl who's been through it all (she was TTC for 5 years with her ex... then got PG with her new OH after one drunken night together!) and she's great to talk to about all this stuff as she understands how I feel, it also gives me hope as she now has 2 of the cutest little girls I've ever met!
Your decorations are so cute Abis! :T I just bought some really cute Christmas ribbon and tissue paper from Next so I'll be lending them to some festive papercrafts soon!
Hope you enjoyed the spa MrsJ! Sounds like a great deal!Hope you 2ww goes quickly, have you got a project you can focus on to take your mind off it?
LOL @ bonkerty bonk MV, I think that should be the new way we refer to BD! :rotfl: We think we're doing well if we manage it 3 times a week... we're doomed!!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Birdie - thanks, the spa was great. It's just a local leisure centre actually!! They have a pool and then a separate spa area with steam rooms, jacuzzis and saunas. It was brilliant, so relaxing and totally took my mind off everything. And only £7 :money: I went with a friend and we are going to try and go at least once maybe twice a month.
We are having our kitchen re-done next week, so I guess that is my project (although the builder will be doing it, I'll just be watching!). I am also having a bit of a crap time at work so am thinking about looking for a new job so I'll be busy googling jobs instead of symptom spotting!0 -

Hugs for CD1 good vibes.
Lilymay, I don't know a lot about it, but a friend of mine has a bicornuate uterus and had a perfectly healthy pregnancy. Anteverted shouldn't be anything to worry about as that's what most women have - just means it tilts forwards. Mine's retroverted, apparently. I only found out at one of my scans when I was having DS and the sonographer just mentioned it in passing.
Not a clue what CD I am. I had what looked like EWCM just before I had my scan last week, but wasn't paying too much attention to it at the time as I was hoping I was still pgSo I may have ov'd. Or I may not. If I have, then effectively my cycle would have started when I should have got my last AF, which leads me to think it was a chemical pregnancy but the bleeding took a few days to break through. I'm just guessing though, haven't a clue really. So in limbo now, waiting for AF. Which might take 4-6 weeks, according to the nurse at the EPU
I'm not sure whether to get some OPKs or not, just in case it's not happened yet. Though they'll be a bit of a waste of money if I have already ov'd. My CBFM arrived, but I guess I can't really use it since I'm not at the start of my cycle.

Once again it's been forever since I posted and it's going to take me aaaages to catch up with everyone's posts. Shift work is killing me and I have no idea what's going on with my cycle... oh and DH and I aren't really BDing anyway so it's all a bit academicHope everyone's well and there have been lots of BFPs in my absence

Hi guys
Sorry if I am meant to post somewhere else first, but I am new to this board and me and hubby are new to TTC
I was just wondering if I could ask a question, I had been on the pill for about 10 years and came off in July. I havent had anything since then...does it take some time for things to settle? I felt really ill for a few weeks after coming off the pill but that was all.
Thanks guys0 -
Hi Spartan_Amy - welcome to the thread!
It can take a while to get your first period after coming off the pill - I think it varies from person to person. It would probably be worth chatting to your GP about it if there's still no sign of it after say three months of coming off the pill (I'm not actually sure if there is a recommended amount of time, but I think if you haven't had a period for three months under 'normal' circumstances then the GP would look into it).
Obvious question.. have you done a pregnancy test?!
Anyway, welcome - ask as many questions as you like and hope you have a short and sweet stay here!0
