Hey everyone, hope you are all well!
Had a great holiday with the hubby. We've decided to chill out a bit over TTC, like courgette said I was becoming a bit obsessed and getting very disappointed. So I'm not going to temp anymore and I'm going to step away from here so can you take me off the list QQ?
Thanks, hope you all get your BFP very soon xx0 -

Hi and welcome to the thread!
Am sooooo busy today but didnt want to read and run (am off on holiday tomorrow)
I came off the pill in March last year and it took 73 days for AF to arrive! so please dont be too worried. To be honest my cycles were vary varied for the following year and then for personal reasons I had the Mirena for the last 6 months.
My Mirena has now gone and I am officially on CD18 :T

T2D - I find that people sometimes half bring the TTC subject up and then remember that they 'shouldn't' and sort of try to cover it up. On a non-sensitive day for me this is quite funny, but when I am having a struggling day its really cringy
Hope af stays away for you. Cramps are also a sign of early pregnancy as the ligaments are stretching in your womb etc. Most AF symptoms are exactly the same as pregnancy symptoms, which is why we shouldn't SS. However - it doesn't stop me from SSing.
Goodvibes/birdie - I might have to be picking your brains for hamper ideas. Do you normally put them in a wicker basket type thing or does it depend on the type of hamper? I might have to have a google on a few things...
QQ/Birdie - Thanks for the kind comments about my decorations. Had some good comments on facebook last night too :T Am gonna try and make a sock monkey nextI think... Well I want to make a sock elf really, but will start with a monkey as that should be easier hopefully :rotfl:
MrsJ - Glad the spa was good, altho when you get your BFP you won't be able to do the jacuzzi/sauna/steam room I think cos you have to keep the temperature down. Don't think yr meant to have hot baths either, but I found this out way after my pregnancy with DD and she turned out fine :rotfl: Hope your kitchen install goes smoothly and the job hunting goes well
Goodvibes - Big hugs for AF arriving. Hope you are having some chocolate.
Bigbird - After a chemical or miscarriage, the next cycle is often really messed up. It can be longer, or shorter than previously. So basically you could ov at any time. Are you wanting to try again this month? If so I would aim for BDing every 2-3 days. You are supposed to be more fertile after a loss, so fingers crossed you catch the eggy when it does appear.
Amyloofoo - You need to get BDing with your OH to get pregnant
Spartan Amy - It can take a while for periods to come back / regulate after coming off the pill. First time I came off it, I caught on with DD straight away (think it took about 8 weeks after i finished taking the pill to get my BFP tho) and last time I came off it AF followed around about 6 weeks afterwards. I think it can take up to 6 months?? You should do a weekly pregnancy test to just check you haven't caught on in the meantime. Welcome to the boards btw, hope your stay here is short and sweet
Missmaid - Good luck with everything. Hope you get your BFP soon.
Littleme - Hope you have a fab holiday
QQ - please can you put me on the testing list for 1st october. I have to do a urine sample for the molar thing on friday, and will get the results next tues. I presume there won't be an increase in HCG levels at 8dpo, but I really would rather find out the news myself if I am pregnany rather than having the molar nurse tell me. So I'll be testing on the monday and tuesday just in cases.
DH reminded me that we are going to York on saturday for a remembrance / saying goodbye type service for babies lost in pregnancy, stillbirth or the early years. I'm having a little struggly day today. I don't think I am ready to say goodbye in some stupid wayIts been 4.5 months now, and I am surprised at how some days it can be so raw and fresh and other days at the back of my mind. I still wish I could wake up from the bad dream and look down at my big bump.

Thanks, Abis, it really was a lovely evening but I was thinking about how I won't be able to it when I'm pregnant so need to make the most of it now! And while I'm not spending money on nappies!
Big ((hugs)) for having a difficult day today. The remembrance service sounds like a lovely idea, if you are ready for it and want to go. It is only natural to have better and worse days, and there's no rule about how long that will carry on for. I really hope you get your BFP very soon and that it won't be long before you have a big bump with your forever baby! (I want one too, let's be bump buddies...!)
I LOVE your new signature by the way!
I just got a negative OPK whoop whoop! I know I said I wouldn't test again but I couldn't resist... So now I'm definitely declaring today 1DPO0 -
Sorry to hear you're struggling today Abi
Maybe the service will be good to help you ay goodbye even though you don't quite feel ready that that yet? I think it sounds like a really nice thing to do though.
When I make hampers I just get big but shallow cardboard boxes and cover with nice paper, more MSE as the baskets can cost a bit and won't get used again anyway. It also gives me more leeway to choose how big or small I want to make it, eg if the box is a little deep I just chop some off or if I find that I don't have enough to fill it I just dig out a smaller box! When I made the towel/undies cake for OH I got a cheap 'charger' (metal effect plate!) for 99p and rolled the towel to fit on top of that then just wrapped the whole thing quite loosely in wrapping paper. If it had been travelling anywhere I'd have done it properly with cellophane, but it was only sitting in the living room so no need!

Abis, that was an epic post so I hope you won't mind if I only reply to bits!Amyloofoo - You need to get BDing with your OH to get pregnant
I know silly :rotfl:try telling my DH that though!DH reminded me that we are going to York on saturday for a remembrance / saying goodbye type service for babies lost in pregnancy, stillbirth or the early years. I'm sorry, I'm not very articulate, but I think what I mean can best be summed up with a dodgy hug :grouphug:
Oh, and I hope the testing goes well! I can't wait to see your BFP and then hear updates of all your PG and new baby milestones.0 -
MrsJ - I agree - lets be bump buddies. That would be very cool indeed  I like my new signiture too
Thought it was about time I added one :rotfl:I especially like the sparkly Christmas trees :rotfl: I can't believe I still have 3 WHOLE months to wait for christmas, lol! And yay for the -ve OPK. You can relax now and [STRIKE]stress out and SS[/STRIKE] enjoy the 2ww with me
Birdie - I knew there would be a more MSE way of doing it - thank you. Will have to save my cardboard boxes from now on and see which ones come in handy...
Amyloofoo - :rotfl:Get your DH to come on here. We will all tell him for you
As for the ceremony - I think its defo something I 'need' to do, just for myself if you know what I mean? When someone dies, you have a funeral and a period of mourning for the grief. For a baby dying, particularly before it is 'recognised' as a baby, there is nothing quite so 'official'. When I get sad now, people don't really understand who haven't been through it themselves (because it happened so long ago in their eyes). The molar nurse said to me its normal to never feel normal again, but I guess some days I feel more normal than others iyswim?? It can be a shock to go back to not feeling quite so normal. I saw a quote earlier from someone that said 'we never forget. There is always a space missing no matter how far we travel physically or mentally that we will always get pulled back to'. Kind of made sense. One of my friends has 8 children  But she also lost one child too, and she doesn't ever forget the lost baby. Its something we will have to live with forever, but obviously over time the sadness becomes duller and the gaping hole will become less and less...
Anyways, thats enough of my waffle for now. Don't want to bring the whole thread down!!

Afternoon everyone.
Still no AF for me, haven't taken another test as last one I did was a super early result one, so guessing if that didn't pick anything up, then there's nothing to pick up.
So looks like something weird is going on as I Definately ov when I thought, had had a very positive ovalation stick, so I don't know what's going on.

Not necessarily. It's always worth testing again, particularly if you think you're over when your period is due"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
