Trying for a Baby Part 8

Oh good Lord another flipping smiley face :eek::eek::eek::eek:
p.s. I'm not whinging about being potentially fertile at the moment.. I'm just, well, whinging...
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I so get what you mean! I was ridiculously excited with the first +ve OPK, and then upset at the 2nd one, cos if that meant ov was 12-36 hours after then there might not be enough sperm waiting. As I haven't had much EWCM this month I was really relying on timing it right.
It is really hard work. I was so gonna be relaxed about it all, and I can't do it. If I BD every 3 days as we normally do and miss the ov window then I know I will be very mad and also upset with myself for not putting the effort in. I don't want to wait and wait. I want a baby in my tummy now >stamps feet< I feel like I have done all my waiting and its just getting tedious and more frustrating with each month that goes by.
If this month doesn't work, then I might have to go with preseed or something next month to give the swimmers more of a chance. I had quite a bit of EWCM in the month I caught on.Married my lobster in July 2011

Is it 12-36 hours after the first +ve OPK or after ANY +ve OPK? (Dr Abis I'll trust whatever you tell me...) I'm glad you understand how I feel.... I feel really silly for getting so excited yesterday and then being anxious about it all again today! I'm thinking: four lots of BD in the last five days... any more and I'm going to cause some kind of sperm traffic jam up there!
Surely last night's swimmers can hang around long enough waiting for the eggy?! Otherwise I'm going to have to shave my legs and hope for the best tomorrow
Going on a nice girly treat this evening, a visit to a local spa - it's nothing posh, but they have sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc and it only costs about £7 for a session! Hopefully that will relax me a bit0 -

Fraid I have no idea on the OPK question tho MrsnotJ. I would like to think after the first +ve OPK as that fits in much better with my BD schedule (and yours). We shall just think positively until someone comes along who is more knowledgable...
2 of DH's spermies got in to my egg last time which is what causes a molar pregnancy (the egg is meant to shut down to the other sperms after one has entered. If you watched the great sperm race there was an ace bit on it there). So I think too many sperm up there can also cause issues. Who knows tho. I mean, surely someone should have invented a more foolproof method for having a baby in this day and age?!?!?
Oooo, spa sounds good (altho I am hoping you have shaved your legs for that and not waiting for a potential BD tomorrow to shave them :rotfl:) Hope you have a lovely time :beer:Married my lobster in July 2011

Abis that's really interesting about the molar; I didn't realise 2 sperms getting in was the cause. I have watched the great sperm race a long time ago but can't remember that bit very clearly.
Don't worry I have shaved my legs! But with PCOS and the associated hairy side effects it's always a bit of a challenge :rotfl:
Given that the clear blue digi opk instruction leaflet says you should stop testing after a positive opk I'm going with 12-36 hours from the first positive, which means I only have to fit in one more BD in the next day or two!! I'll test again tomorrow and if it's positive again I will probably weep....
I soooo want to get a BFP this cycle. I know we all do. Some cycles I am more bothered about it though.0 -
Here are my felt creations. Still doing some work on the fabric ones so will hopefully post another piccie of them in a few days
Goodvibes - What hampers are you making? Hope that AF keeps away for you.
MrsJ - Yeah, it causes abnormalities. Sometimes 2 sperm can enter and the female chromosomes jump out then which turns in to a complete molar, which is worse and its more common to have chemotherapy with a complete molar. Mine was a partial molor, which means that 2 sperm got in there and then created 69 chromosomes, which then made the placenta grown way way too big. I don't remember them mentioning molar pregnancies or any other abnormalities on that programme, but I do remember the effects of when 1 sperm entered and it was like an explosion went on all around the egg and it hardened it for all other sperm. My explosion musn't have gone on fast enough I don't think - but they aren't actually 100% sure as to why it happens. They know how, just not why or what not to do kind of thing?
I'm with you on sooooo wanting a BFP this cycle. Last cycle, I was ok. This cycle, so not ok. I feel it will only get worse now especially before my due date.Married my lobster in July 2011

Evening gang
That's Monday out of the way then
Kudos to the ladies who are able and willing (and have able and willing OH's) to bonkerty bonk for days in a row! OH and I feel pleased with ourselves if we manage to do it 3 times during ov, one day on, one day off! We're so lazy! :rotfl:
I begin testing with my CB digi ov sticks from Saturday and am looking forward to giving it all a fresh go this month. Hoping that what I've read about being more fertile after a CP is true and we get lucky again.
abis21 - nice to see some good old PMA, hope you are right and you've done it this monthMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hi all Monday is over!!
I know what you mean about wanting it so much more some months than othersFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Hi all,
Sorry I've been awol. I think I just got a bit upset with all the BFP's and decided I needed a break from here.
MV - Really sorry to hear your news.
Congratulations to Niknok.
I went out for a drink with a midwife friend on Saturday evening and she had a quick look over mine and OH's test results. Turns out I have a anteverted bicornuate uterus (nobody ever told me) and that could be the reason for a lot of my past medical problems. I also bit the bullet and got in touch with my old hospital and have requested a copy of all of my medical notes. I am certain there is a lot of info in there that I don't know and think it would be really helpful given we are now currently TTC again and are having some problems.
I've taken Soy again this cycle (120mg CD2-6). Also, QQ, I am CD4 today if you could update me please.
Hope everyone else is okay. I am going to be taking a back seat on this forum but I will keep stalking so I can keep up with everyone.
