AFM – QQ could you put me back on the list as we are definitely trying again. Had my first ever positive OV test yesterday! It was a CB digi one and I got the smiley face It’s the first one I’ve done this cycle so I don’t know if it would have been the first or second positive test IYSWIM. Have had four days of EWCM so am feeling hopeful that I’ll ov today. Having been moody all day I chilled out later and managed to convince DH that a BD would be a good plan without telling him about the positive ov test (he doesn’t like the pressure of knowing). So… fingers crossed…

Can anybody enlighten me on OV pains? I had a kind of stabbing pain last night where I think my left ovary is and wondered if it might be ov but I’ve never noticed it before. Might be psychosomatically induced following the positive opk!! It only lasted for a few minutes really so might just be one of those random twinges.

totally digusting weather here this morning too, we couldnt believe it at 3pm at work when the sun came out, was like a different day!

I dont think I need any more chocolate but thank you I ate a ton of chocolate flavoured everything at the weekend

I often get ov pains. Once so strong I had to stop walking down the stairs for a second! I normally get it on the day of a positive opk. And then temp rise the following day. Just kinda feels like a really bad twingy pain. I dont get it every single month, but I get it quite a lot.

When DH used to be in the army some of them used to spike each others drinks with it :eek: Which I was always worried about because Id heard of men having heart attacks if they took the wrong dose or whatever. They seemed to think it was just hilarious of course! Thankfully never happened to DH.

Lilymay - my SIL has a heart shaped uterus which I think is a similar thing?? She conceived at 19 by having sex ONCE. But, she does have problem/painful periods which apparently are not helped by it. But i think she also has some other problems too. But definitely didnt stop her getting pg thats for sure! good luck with the soy.

Goodvibes - the hampers sound great. I'm gonna do similar things this year I think. Hoping for a more homemade and MSE christmas this year, and since I have started planning already I think I should do ok hopefully. I want to do a burger hamper and a festival hamper, not sure what else yet but sure I will find things I mean, obv I have not thought about doing a grandparent hamper complete with healthy scan picture That would be silly I've signed up for a couple of craft fayres at schools, they're only £10 for a table. Will see how I do. They aren't til december. I have put the decorations up for sale on facebook from earlier, so hoping to see which (if any ) are popular and build up a supply from there. Also got lots of other ideas to work on in the meantime too. Quite excited for it all and it does help to take my mind off things.

I think we all get down from time to time. I like to post tho. The other week you all really cheered me up.

firstly I would like to echo the nice comments about QQ who has really helped this newbie feel at home here.

secondly I'm so befuddled about CM I think I had some of that fabled ewcm and then it was watery the next day (too much info sorry) but I am still getting nothing in the OPK.:think:

Now I know I may be jumping the gun a bit having only just come off the pill but I was so giddy about that ewcm that I wanted to high five DH (after washing my hands of course) and now I'm not sure whats going on.

I guess this month we will just wait and see?

Hi Lilymay, good to see you. I know what you mean about sometimes needing a break from here, but I find myself drawn back. I get a little obsessive and find myself constantly re-checking what day I am up to!

Must say without QQ I would never know where I was up to.

good vibes, I'm glad you can talk to someone, I'm sure it really helps. I really haven't found anyone to talk to, as it just feels like such a personal thing. not sure what I would do without this thread. Although I have noticed people skirting around the topic now, sometimes clumsily which makes everyone feel a little uncomfortable! But I suppose it's better than MIL's comment 'well, I suppose some people just don't have the maternal instinct'.

Anyway, I am getting a few cramps now, not holding out much hope. I did google 'cramps in early pregnancy' and found that all the links were marked as already read! So obviously something I have checked before.

sigh. I would be so good if it was this month. Could tell people at Christmas... but the playing the 'I will be pregnant by...' game isn't much fun!

p.s. Huge chocolate craving today, so I have had almost a whole bar tonight. If AF shows tomorrow I will complement my healthyness with a few big glasses of Red wine.

You can get ewcm quite a few days before ov. So it may be coming soon!
