  • You turn the CBFM off after it has read your stick, and turn it on again the next day and do the same etc.

I think after you've had your first peak reading you don't need to keep POAS anymore as it automatically gives you a 2nd peak the day after.

Not sure how you set it back to day 1 again though as it's been quite a while since I last used mine! In fact it's covered in dust under the bed!

It'll be coming out again for next month though if I get a BFN this month!

maire, massive (((hugs))) and welcome back:o
Hope you won't be here next year:wave:

onlywayisup, you don't need to turn CBFM on every day:)
And you don't have to feed the stick every time it asks either. It's a simple machine.
I've used it for over 2 years in most liberal way:)

    Hello lovely ladies

wow this week has flown! AF has gone away (hooray!) so hopefully things can get started. I have a silly newbie question, when should I start using the OPK's if I'm at CD7 now?

Also I just worked out what POAS stands for:rotfl: I guess I have plenty of that to look forward to!

Hubby keeps talking about what will happen "when the baby gets here" it makes me go all gooey  I keep trying to tell him it may not be quite that simple and it will likely take up to a year even if all is well with both of us but its still really sweet.

I sympathise with the work issues, I'm about to lead for my team on an 8 week lean review from Monday so its a bit scary but I suppose its just a case of wait and see. Stupid work!

  • Ohhh. Shiny new (very long) thread. Sorry I've not been about, but finding it a bit depressing for me lol. My update is that I'm now CD104. Tested last week some time. Still negative. I have no idea what's happening. Hugs to you all & if anything ever happens I'll be back xx

Where do you live? Do you mean you cant buy pg tests in supermarkets?

Nope, in France you can't even buy paracetmol in the supermarket. And Boot's doesn't exist out here, only mega expensive pharmacies.

Some people use Mooncup after BDing and leave it there until the morning.
Hmmm i suppose in theory it would probably help to keep the little beggers in there.
Loads of us in the 2ww and testing end of September. Fingers crossed for us all!
Yes there's been loads of ovulating in the last few weeks, good work ovaries !

I can't remember who was talking about government guidelines on Folic Acid, but here in France it's recommended to take FA for 1 cycle before falling pregnant.

I don't think i will test on Sunday now QQ, sorry you have to change the list. I'm going to order some ic's tonight so they probably won't arrive in time. And i'm sceptical about getting a + so early, i dont have any symptoms or anything. So i'll test on Thursday, i'll be 16 DPO, so should be enough hormones by then. I also have a prescription from my gyny for a blood pregnancy test, but i'll see if i get a + on the ic's first. And instead of forking out for a digi, i'll get the health service to pay for me to have a blood one done.

    Off to buy some ic's.......

Hope you're all having a nice evening :)

Hi Lilymay thanks for the reply

I honestly have no idea, I came off the pill a few weeks ago and have just finished my first withdrawal bleed, they are only cheapie ones from Amazon so I don't really mind wasting them I just wanted some idea of when I might expect to use them and get a result if you see what I mean?

In that case, I have no idea what to suggest for the best!

I could take 6 or even 12 months for your cycles to regulate and for you to start ovulating again....or you could be fertile right now! I suppose you could one right now and see how dark the line is. If it's at all visible, perhaps continue to test until they get really dark (ie, ovulation). If you can't see a second line in any way, shape or form..maybe give it a few days? You will get a better result with OPK's if you use them in the afternoon/evening:)

    Good luck!
