Trying for a Baby Part 8

  • Morning all,
I want to play on swings too!!!! :)
I keep thinking about what to do with my job when I have a little one. NHS in now longer family friendly and OH does shifts too. Would have to down grade my role and cuts down hours. There are jobs that do all your shifts over 3 days (long days) which would be better for me. There is bank and agency, but the benifts are not the same e.g mat leave (for when I want more).
Just dreaming ahead girls, nearly 36 and already down graded because of already doing the career stuff and wanting a family and a life of not living to work.

Yes 2ww is soooo slow, my last month of ssing was back pain (not my wear and tear backpain). OH turned over the mattress and it was so much better. Said we have to wear out his side of the mattress LOL
    Have a good day all
  • I was so exhausted last night I started nodding off on the sofa at 9.30pm, so banished OH to the sofa bed as he was getting up at silly o clock to go to Leeds for work today and I felt like I needed an undisturbed night.

Fat chance! Kept waking up, going to the loo and generally not sleeping very well.

  • On the job front, I would advise you not to stress about it until you really need to.

I spent the majority of my maternity leave worrying and stressing about what was going to happen when I went back to work, and how it wasn't what I wanted for various reasons. I think I spoilt a lot of the time I should have been making the most of my time off.

I ended up taking a leap of faith and resigning in November, was scared witless that I was never going to find anything else to fit around childcrae etc, but did find a part time position in a similar role and am so relieved I did quit when I did.

Work and stuff will fit around you and baby, not the other way round :)

Metranil - LP is time between ovulation and start of AF. So when I ov'ed on CD21 and got AF on CD30 it gives me an LP of 8 days. Anything less than 10 is considered an LPD (luteal phase defect) and can make it difficult/impossible for eggy to implant.
However, for every doctor who tells you LPD exists, another will tell you it doesn't. Normal is considered 12-16 days I think?

Shouldn't be an issue for you anyhow :)

  • Thank you MV your right, was thinking ahead :D. On my list of PMA 1st is to have our own house together and start looking soon.
Have a nice nest egg due to being a working girl all these years :)

Happy Thursday. I could do with the weekend arriving - been a long week, plus I am now wishing time away so that Christmas arrives and I go on holidays!

I think I am going to reset myself back to 1DPO. Lots of EWCM last night, and cervix was soft and open like people describe... although a little low. Another late night BD means I am tired today, but still in the game.

I am in the 2ww as well. It's a long wait isn't it! I'm on CD 17 (I think!). I usually OV about day 12ish with a LP of about 14 days. All very fluid as you can imagine!
Quiet here, just at work which is a pig but hey ho, it's a means to an end and I'm ever hopeful I can use the maternity leave soon!!! lol
I don't remember having many symptoms last time round until about 5-6 weeks in but I do remember how sore my boobs were!!! They were agony! lol
I think I will test about the 21st to see if I am lucky this month.

Time2deal, thank you for the comments from Guardian, don't think I'll be trying that hot bricks:p
TeamLowe, when you leave your job, it will have to be with a bump:cool:
Birdie, can't you get the SA pot for him to do at home? That's what I did.
RazWaz, now you are ready to get pg (folic acid wise), so get pg:D
