Trying for a Baby Part 8

Bigzippy, since you have PCOS, you'll get more eggs on IVF and as you are young, the quality of the embryos should be good. Fingers crossed you'll get enough eggs for siblings:cool: Even at ripe old age of 39, I got 19 eggs.
I'd assume if you get more than one, then you'll have to pay for it to be frozen privately. Here's some prices:http://www.hertsandessexfertility.com/Treatment-Options/Fees/Price-Lists.aspx
As you don't ov regularly, I think they may prescribe clomid or similar even for FET.£250 for courier and £600 for the first year, just for storing embryos - that's a bit flippin steep though!! I'm gonna ask them all about it when I get to that point
I'm trying to see it that the time it'll take to lose the weight and get on the waiting list will (hopefully) be enough time for DH to get his head together with the private counselling we're setting up for him. Hopefully it'll coincide nicely and I'll have a bump by next Christmas at least... but we'll see...
Birdie - I'm with you. At first I was thinking more along the lists of moderation, but wouldn't want to have an MC and wonder if something I did/didn't do may have made a difference. Now I'm this far down the line, having been given the news I have, I'm gutted at the things I've "missed out on"! I'm angry at most things atm though, about the situation, but I'm especially mad I've been off my medications (especially during winter months) for 2 years, for no reasonAh well. What will be will be. Etc... It's quite nice being able to 'do what I like' right now, but then I remember that I don't really drink, don't smoke (any more
) etc, don't like rollercoasters, and I still can't eat what I want anyway :rotfl: Maybe I'll go be rebellious in a hot tub or something instead

Hi everyone :waves:
Busy week for me, back to work!
Bfn yesterday, no af yet but period pains so probably tomorrow. XFirst baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/140 -
Hello everyone, hope you've all had a good day, beautiful September sunshine here !
QQ - I'm 25 and TTC#1 since March 2012. I'm pretty sure that this month is the first month i've actually ovulated since i stopped the pill though, as it's the first time i've noticed ewcm, had sore bbs and lower abdominal pains around the right time. Soooo i'm thinking i'm on CD15 and 2DPO. We managed to BD on CD11 and CD13, so fingers crossed !
I've got a big BBQ planned for saturday, and everyone will notice if i'm not drinking so i will have a couple of glasses of wine. That early on in a potential pregnancy, alcohol wouldn't have any effect on an embryo would it ? Is has to be implanted and be connected to your blood stream if i remember my biology lessons rightly.

Afternoon ladies.
My first day back at work and it was as bad as I suspected it would be. I only phoned DS's nursery about 500 times....:(:(
However....there may just be light at the end of a tunnel. On one of my I-dont-want-to-go-back-to-this-job days last week I randomly applied for a job with a similarly large company (in the transport industry this time) and I had a phone call today inviting me for an interview! Head Office is literally about 4 minutes from my house and although the salary is much lower our outgoings are so low at the moment (thankfully no mortgage) we could manage with me on a lower wage. It would just mean me spending less on !!!! (like my kitchenaid) but I would be saving a small fortune in petrol so....
Getting ahead of myself I know...but I was so surprised to hear back from them!
Anyway, in more TTC related news....I have been literally dripping wet all day (tmi..i know..I'm sorry). This might sound a bit random...but one for the ladies who have already have children (via c-section and normally)....has it ever become painful for your OH to go 'deep'? It's like any position but missionary is painful for me because it feels like he is doing damage. It's only been like that since DS's birth. Any ideas?
PommeVerte - Welcome. I hope your stay is as short as possible (although don't queue jump 'coz we all hate that)
Is everyone enjoying the lovely weather?
Lilyxx
Edit: Teamlowe - I just read your post! Brilliant news!! Yay for ovulating!!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
TeamLowe - so glad your appointment went well :j
BabyMad - I'm with Birdie and Bigzippy on not putting things on hold (plus I'm quite a big fan of tempting fate when it comes to ttc) I had an amazing trip to the US in May - I almost chose not to go when the option was put to me in January, thinking I might be pregnant... and I had the most amazing time, with lots of cocktails! We also weren't going to paint our spare room in case we then wanted to repaint it as a nursery. We painted it a lovely colour and I'm so pleased we did - and when we eventually get a baby it won't care about the colour! I realise that doesn't really answer your question about the two week wait..... I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't put life on hold for ttc. As Birdie said the baby doesn't take any nutrients from your body in the very early days so I wouldn't worry about a few drinks.

hi babymad, i can only really say the same as the rest of the ladies before me, i might do a test before i leave if i suspect anything.
but other than that i dont really drink, i dont smoke and im pretty physically active anyway so i dont think id put anything on hold just now
eating wise, all of the things that have been proven to be dangerous arent really things that i eat anyway, pate, blue cheese etc, so i could take or leave them anyway.

The implant freaks me out!
2 of my friends have it and I get so grossed out by seeing it there under the skin, hate to think how they get them out! _pale_ Oddly, I'm let freaked out by the thought of a coil! I even asked for that a couple of years ago but my doctor refused as I hadn't had children?! Weird.
Yay for getting the Mirena out Littleme! I've heard of a few ladies catching as soon as they've had it removed, hope it happens to you!
My friend has just had one put in and she tried to get me to feel it because she thought it would be funny as I am so squeamish, I went to touch it and then started to get creeped out and went ugggh get me away from you lol! So definitely not an option for me!
Woo freaking hoo finally a positive on an opk and ewcm. Its weird normally they get gradually darker but I went from bright white to a really dark line today. So got DH upstairs to BD as soon as he got in the door tonight :rotfl:0 -
