    Hello Trina

I have a quick question for you if I may? I'm a couple of months behind you, my honeymoon is in February and I'm having my coil removed in January.

Are you going to drink alcohol, eat regularly and partake in any activities that take your fancy whilst on honeymoon or are you going to behave as if you may have conceived please?

    Thanks :)

MASSIVE congratulations to all the BFPs recently!!

Congrats little me on being contraceptive free! It felt very strange bding 1st time without protection, but in a nice way as you know you have good reason to!

I have no idea! Could be 2 day wait or 2 ww!!! Guess until AF arrives I wont know when CD1 will be. Guess will just have lots of BD in the meantime ;).

It is a T shape - google it - or even you tube it ! xxx
  • Thank you ladies for all your good wishes. Well, I've PO3Ss now and all positive. I feel so lucky.
I had thought of all the ways in which I would tell OH if/when I ever got pregnant and it just didnt happen. I had asked him to pick up a cheap test while he was in town so I could say for sure I wasn't and could go back to the doctor to see what she would do about my blood tests when AF just wasnt appearing! I emphasized I knew it would be negative so he wouldn't get excited. I went and POAS and just kind of said 'oops! I guess I was wrong.'
I still have no symptoms, we only BD'd twice last month, and going off the dates I must have OV'd on about CD24, so you can imagine it was very unexpected seeing as I thought I wasn't even OVing.
I've now got to make my Drs appointment for next week and try and hold back on the excitement and brace myself for some morning sickness and other syptoms to come and get me! X

Littleme, I think the best thing to do rather that confusing yourself about which CD you *might* be is to wait for AF then count from there. Fingers crossed the witch never arrives! :)

Hi BabyMad, I know your question wasn't directed at me, but I don't believe in putting life's little pleasures on hold because there's a chance you may get PG. Especially on holiday! The baby doesn't initially get anything extra from you anyway so if you have a few too many glasses of wine when you're 2 weeks PG it won't be harmful. With regards to activites, I'd probably carry on as normal and do what I want but maybe with a little extra caution. I can't see that much of what you'd want to do would be an issue right at the very start of a pregnancy. If I manage to fiddle my cycles, I'll be OVing at the start of my holiday and then in the 2ww for the rest but I won't be avoiding the rollercoasters at the end of my holiday because there's a chance that there are a few tiny cells forming inside me, they'll be well enough protected when they're first growing! :)

Now I'm sure that someone else will come along and say I'm mental for being so cavalier, but I'm tired of behaving myself for no reason since I'm still not PG! That and my friend went sledging whilst 3 months PG and was fine! ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Thanks Birdie - advice from anyone is welcome :)

I know that the likelihood of falling pregnant so quickly is very slim anyway but obviously I want to do all I can to have a healthy pregnancy (I'm 35 and this would be my first) but at the same time I see how long it can take and want to make a start.

I have been charting for a couple of months now so come February I will have a much better idea if I'm even going to ovulate on honeymoon - it may be a moot point anyway :o

    Thanks again

So true, especially for a long timer like me. I may have had a bit of vino while on holiday during my 2ww:shhh:
