Hi just got back and its out!! she even showed it to me
Hi QQ :wave:as I am now officially contraception free and fertile and ready to go (words of my lovely nurse!) may I please go back on the list.
I will say CD1 but who knows as its only day 1 and didnt get any bleeding on the mirena!
So will be TTC #1 from September and I am 30
She asked after I had it taken out as to when was the last time i had s*x....I said Sunday and then she said hmmmm there is a chance (albeit low) that you could fall pregnant from that.....oh well think we are going to have a celebratory BD tonightxx

Thank you QQ
we're off to the Caribbean for 3 weeks, really looking forward to it.
maybe if im really lucky it'll be a honeymoon baby....not likely but it gives me something to aim for just now (i like to have milestones along the way).
im not going to do any temping or ov tests just now, that'll start after the honeymoonlets see how my cycles settle down.
Littleme - how excitingi was lurking when u were refused the removal by your doctors, my doctor wont remove them at all which was a bit strange, glad you have the outcome you wanted in the end....they dont like to make it easy!

My doctors don't like taking out the implant if it's only been in a short while, but that's because the cost to the NHS is apparently quite high (not sure if that's true or not).Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

The implant freaks me out!
2 of my friends have it and I get so grossed out by seeing it there under the skin, hate to think how they get them out! _pale_ Oddly, I'm let freaked out by the thought of a coil! I even asked for that a couple of years ago but my doctor refused as I hadn't had children?! Weird.
Yay for getting the Mirena out Littleme! I've heard of a few ladies catching as soon as they've had it removed, hope it happens to you!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Hmm. You couldn't see mine under the skin unless I poked one end of it. Otherwise you wouldn't have known it was there. The removal wasn't unpleasant (although I didn't look)

Thanks for your replies everyone. Does feel pretty surreal thinking that having had s*x on Sunday with the mirena in could be the one that is responsible now that its out! Oh well lets just wait and see.
I know I am not CD1 but dont know where else to start as no cycles to go by really.
The mirena is a T shaped piece of plastic with 2 very fine wires. It floats around in your uterus and when pulled out by the wires the arms bend up and it just comes out! its not very big, about 4cm I would say. Was a strange sensation it coming out.
I just want 5pm to come along now!

Back from doctors and it's good news, I am ovulating! She didn't give me numbers but LH,FSH and prolactin are normal, progesterone was too (managed to get a sneaky look at that and it was 31.7 so dunno how normal that is lol)
If I don't conceive within six months they'll give me clomid, the little spot on my uterus wall the lady mentioned during the HyCoSy is where my womb lining is interacting with the muscle but that doesn't affect fertility and they offered to refer hubby for an SA so he's doing that more for peace of mind.
I found it funny cos she kept telling me things I already knew but I had to let her cos she's the medical professional
She did mention my weight but only as a warning for if I need IVF, which is fair enough and is better they say it now than get to the point where I need it and then spring it on me
And I've gotta say it's so awkward when they're trying not to say 'you just need to have a lot of sex' lol x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
