    Hi Shazbutt,
So sorry to hear you have ordered from this website too. I only began to feel something was wrong when (Text removed by MSE Forum Team) had still not sent me an order tracking number a week after I had paid (stupidly) by bank transfer. I then found this forum and immediately asked the company to cancel my order and give me a full transfer. That's when all the problems started...
I think that earlier in the year some people may have received goods, long after the 5-10 days they claim to offer, but when they wish to return goods the Basingstoke address is no longer in use and they cannot get a refund.
If you have paid by credit or debit card I believe you could get your money back through the bank because (Text removed by MSE Forum Team)is definitely not someone to trust! It's also strange that emails can no longer be delivered as that was my only hope of continuing contact (the answerphone is always on and she does not return calls).
    Good luck,
    Maz525

Thank you Maz525 for replying. I've had an email reply from her today stating she'll get back to me Friday once she has received a tracking order number????? I'm going to have to leave it till then I suppose in my case as this Friday would be the 10th day of the promised delivery date. I did pay by credit card though I have no idea how long or difficult its going to be to get my money back. I suppose I can only approach them after I've been refused a refund from this (Text removed by MSE Forum Team)??? No idea. I don't mind admitting I've lost some sleep already over this. Has anyone else managed to get their money back I wonder? oh and for those who reported it to the Police, have they had any feedback on it?
  • Hi Shazbutt,
I never ever got a tracking number I'm afraid... It may give you some piece of mind to ring your credit card company sooner rather than later for advice. I reported the site to action fraud along with some others on this forum but I didn't hear back from the police. You stand a much better chance of getting your money back from credit card by all accounts.
It is stressful and I feel stupid for not finding this forum earlier and falling for all her false promises for so long.
I'm camping for next couple of weeks so no access to the net but I'll check back here when I'm back to see how you get on.
Best of luck and keep positive, remember she got so fed up of me that I did get my money back eventually!
  • Thank you Maz for your positive message. I'll definitely not give up without a fight. Just to let you (& anyone else that might come back to this site) no goods have arrived yet. yet. She gave me some bull in her last email the goods have been dispatched and should turn up anyday. I'll be emailing her tomorrow if no show, then I'll ring my credit card company to ask for advice. Have a great camping trip and hopefully my case will be resolved by the time you get back Ha Ha......wonder how the others who posted on this forum got on? Shame they havent been back to this site to let everyone know........

I have just been notified of these complaints and feel it necessary to respond. We have a lot of customers who firstly try to claim refunds after the 7 day cool off period which is part of the distant seller regulations. You cannot order from a site then after 7 days expect to return goods, this seems to be confusing for some. Secondly all of our items are tracked by parcelforce, many if not collected in time after attempting delivery will get returned and we then need to file claims for those people. If anyone feels they have not had their goods delivered then they need to contact us directly, which can be done at info@chairandsofacovers.co.uk

It also appears that we have a competitor or two who is enjoying slamming our company and going out of their way to bad mouth us, including setting up several accounts on here to do so. Along with several email addresses, their ISP has been recorded and they have been reported for harassment. All of their emails have been forwarded and any further ones will be forwarded to the relevant people.

Again if anyone feels they are due a refund for goods not received then we will need to go to parcelforce and file a claim. All of our items as said above are tracked and insured, we just have to follow their policy for filing a claims if goods do not arrive.

Lets be proactive doing this rather than complaining on a forum. That way once we file claims you WILL get your money back, that we can assure you. Many above have already had their money returned.

We will look out for your emails, with name, full address and your order description along with order number so we can resolve these claims. We employ parcelforce to do a job for us and if they are not delivering then we need to file claims with them, once items leave our warehouse its over to them to deliver safely, clearly judging by peoples messages here they have not been.

Again please email us all of the details and we will one by one resolve each refund with parcelforce directly on your behalf.

    Thank you

  • Just as an after thought, we like to allow up to 10 business days for delivery so please allow the appropriate time for delivery, parcelforce allow us to file claims 10 days after the expected delivery time. So again please bare this in mind.

We look forward to working through each claim with our customers and parcelforce so that if you are returning orders within the timescale and or your goods never arrive we file the claims at the appropriate time. We are upset as you are for not having goods that you paid for and we will work with you to ensure this is resolved as quickly as possible.

Please email us with all of the relevant details so we can move forward to claim your money back.

You seem to be putting a lot of this on Parcelforce, what about the customer service received and people having to wait weeks, nealry 6 months ina couple of cases iirc? What about the ones that were told they would be refunded but weren't? The ones that were sent cheques and didnt receive them? Were these sent by parcelforce also?

That's great you've responded .....can you explain how the basingstoke mailing box address that you give on your website( but which you don't use any more) , the only address you give on your website, still have loads of your covers that customers have sent back to an address you don't use, and your not authorized to use.Apparently they are all sitting in a warehouse there.
What do you think about that?

Can we just remind you your business doesn't officially exist anymore and you live in Florida.
You persuade people to transfer money directly to you.
It would be extremely proactive if you would report yourself to Action Fraud ... The " relevant people"
  • I paid £199.98 on 4th August and despite many emails have received nothing. They said they would send a second set fully tracked and insured but this has never arrived - although it clearly states on their website "Postage and Packaging
Your items will be delivered to you as fast as possible and all items are posted with tracking for your peace of mind." This is clearly not the case and I am certain this is a scam and would warn others not to use them. We should flood Facebook and Twitter so that nobody else loses money in this way.
