  • Find them on internet and if that was a registered company then you can find their details on some of websites who store like this info. Their you can find their contact details and claim them for your past experience with them.
    Thanks!!!

when you use a debit card there is something called chargeback via your bank, I have seen this work, check with your bank or google it. originally saw the guy from this is money who is often on tv talk about it.
I believe it is still done when the company goes under but check it out. good luck

aNNAVD the fraud police website does work, contact them and tell chairsandsofa covers you have done it, I have seen this work with another company. refund was received within 48 hours

there are many companies that do this and hope you will give up. we didnt on principle. fight back, if enough people do this they will eventually stop conning people.

Most people transferred their money straight into her account.
Chargeback is provided by visa, Amex and MasterCard .

Sounds like I have had a lucky escape! I have been trying to order some covers by phone from this company, but as you all will know they never return calls. There followed a few friendly emails from "(Text removed by MSE Forum Team)" about the order with the last today offering a significant discount if I paid by bank transfer. This set alarm bells ringing and made me google reviews.....ending with this forum. I will obviously not be ordering.
Good luck to those chasing refunds.
How is this company allowed to still trade?
  • Hi

Well I am afraid to say that it looks like we too are also victims of this con artist, to the tune of £174. I will be contacting Action Fraud either later today or tomorrow once I have complied the list of e-mails and so forth. I have also been advised to lodge a complaint with trading standards, apparently there is a form that can be filled out via their website. (I will post the link once I have found it)

Our storey is very similar to every one else’s in that the covers never arrived, and despite promises neither did the refund.

It would be interesting to note the actual number of people that this woman has defrauded, especially as it may add weight to getting action taken against her. I would therefore urge as many people as possible who have fallen for this scam to make a report to the Police/Action Fraud and post on this forum.

Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to obtain an address for this woman in Florida? I’m wondering if she’s living in the lap of luxury at many others peoples expense……. Plus the more information we can provide to the authorities, the more likely something is to get done about her!

I can hardly believe I'm writing this but I have just checked my bank account and I have got my full £240 back from this company, or more specifically (Text removed by MSE Forum Team)!

After 6 weeks of false promises, 2 cheques mysteriously "lost in the post" and numerous requests for my bank details, I eventually asked for my refund to be paid into my PayPal account and (after one small lie claiming it had been done last week and she would have to chase up PayPal..... Yawn, yawn....) it worked!

I can only hope that she will now pay back people like annadvf too. I really pestered her by emailing nearly every single day saying "No refund yet!" I was not rude but I did keep asking for lots of details like where & when she had posted the (imaginary) cheques, and pretending that the Post Office were very concerned. Then I asked for her email address claiming PayPal customer service wanted it to chase the stray payment etc, just to keep up the pressure. I guess eventually she just got sick of me.

I wish you all luck with getting your money back and I would like to say a big thank you to hollydays for all her ideas and help. I can't belive that (Text removed by MSE Forum Team) are still getting customers. There must be some way to close down the fake site.

    Hi,
I've also just registered on this forum and I'm also feeling as sick as the proverbial parrot. Ordered goods 8 days ago off this website ( I couldnt see anything linked to this mentioning a scam company but when I searched for the website today - this forum was right underneath). Anyway it seems that for some the goods are turning up (eventually). Ive checked my order status and its showing dispatched. Does this actually mean anything? I've tried emailing the site but my email couldnt be delivered due to some problem. Can't believe how stupid I've been. I,m usually careful with this sort of thing. Has everyone received their goods so far (even though they've wanted to return them)? I'd really appreciate an update on everyones situation.

Well done Maz525 - did you apply for a refund because your goods didnt turn up? I think I may have mis-interpreted some of the messages. I assumed most people had received their goods and were after refunds for returned goods - what a dope I am. Sorry
