I can't help but wonder: if 'Liz' had simply ignored emails to her and kept communication to a minimum, would she have outraged so many people, would there be a nine page thread on MSE and would [name removed] have been arrested?

After all, she might plead ignorance if she simply said she 'forgot' the website was still in operation. But there will be no ignorance plea as her emails and posts are now a matter of public record.

    I wonder.

Whatever the case, I am guessing [name removed] (if he has any brains at all) is probably pretty mad at 'Liz' just now. In fact, if he's got any sense at all he will hang her out to dry.

After all, it was this thread that brought info to Annette Gottlieb who later preferred charges against [name removed].

One thing leads to another, 'Liz.' Your arrogance just might land you in the ole slammer. And what a celebration that will bring!
  • Hi, another victim here, I'm afraid.
Ordered a set of covers online at the end of September and selected to pay by card. Got an email a couple of hours later from Karen saying that they were having problems with their card processor and offering me a 10% discount if I paid by bank transfer.
I should have seen the warning signs, but stupidly agreed and arranged a transfer to the account she gave me.
Since then I have heard nothing from them - despite numerous emails and calls to the number on their website (never answered).

In the interests of keeping the thread going, perhaps we should wait until people have been charged and found guilty before guessing who's done what

Once convicted, can we start publishing her name on this site? Anyone know?

No, it would still break the forum rules - no personal details.

I ageee, there appears to be no proof of who has been arrested and people are making assumptions. A complaint of libel from the person who has been named as being arrested could result in MSE pulling the thread - I suggest jazzygirl removes the name from her post.

So, if I want to mention the name of a popular 83 year old entertainer, artist and didgeridoo player, I cannot do so in connection with a recent criminal charge?

Hmmmmmm. Notice how everything gets better and better for criminals and the rich, and the little guy gets left holding the bag?

Gee, I thought this was an advocacy site. I guess I was wrong. Looks more like a site where people on 'your side' report you to the MSE cops.

    Losing THX.
    Bye!

Worse than that - if you follow the rules to the letter then even saying "I saw R*** H***** in concert last week" would be against them.
  • this would stand up in a small claims court... worth looking into

Did you read the post where someone took a previous incarnation to the small claims court and lost

So in your experience as a "SCAMHUNTER", who do you suggest that the victims take to small claims? (from some of your other posts it seems you don't really have a clue what you are talking about and are just posting for the sake of it - upping post count perhaps?)
