CPW O2 Retentions Thread

Usually unlimited is capped to the so-called "fair use" of 500mb. If you mean true unlimited and don't mind paying the extra I haven't seen any deals with that feature. 500mb is readily available - combined with a lot more minutes and unlimited texts on T-Mobile, Vodafone and Orange.0

HI, looking a bit of advice please, my contract with CPW O2, is due to end, my date for notification of 30days would be the 21st November 2011. I have been on an 18month contract by redempton, total outlay per month £5.00, which got me 600mins & 1000texts, but from reading previous posts, there doesn't seem to be anymore great offers from CPW. I would be grateful of any advice that you can give me on something similar, even 500mins & 500text (No Internet data - No call for this). If no deals going with CPW do I request my PAC Code first of all, or do I just cancel the contract with the 30days notice, I would still like to keep my Mobile Number, but not up to date on how to go about this, as have been with CPW for years now, longer than I care to think!!.
I wouldn't mind going to another provider like E2save or someone like that, I am open for any suggestions.
Thanking You!!

Been with CPW/O2 for about 7 years now.
Currently paying £5 per month (after Cashback) and this gets me 1000 texts, 600 mins and unlimited internet.
Latest contract expires next week, and have already had a couple of missed called from them (01925 555601)
Before i call them or answer their call, just asking if CPW are offering any more deals.

I am aloswith CPW on the same deal as you, running out in 3 weeks time.
WhenI I called to cancel, I was assured they wont be offering a similar deal. Something about as o2 taking over the billing, they wont be collecting my bills any longer so wont have any cash back to give me.
They said they have no new deals like I the one I am on. I asked for my PAC code and they gave it to me without any hassle.
If you get no joy, check this website out and the 2nd link is deal I am interested in. Just trying to work out for myself if the site and offer is all legit:

Does look legit and deal too looks good.
Let me know what you do0 -
i had a letter from cpw saying my sim only billing would be transfered to o2 direct billing shortly...not sure how long that will be though.
so no more deals or free line rental, had some good ones over the last five years.
i think will let it transfer to o2 direct then call up o2 and see if they do any deals and weigh up whats available then.0 -

From reading bad stories on here on difficulties getting CB, I avoid BMP (and Affordable Mobiles).Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
BMP do pay up - (and you can make sure that Affordable mobiles do too if you follow ALL the guidelines). However, they are relatively smaller outfits and must therefore be regarded as higher risk in my view.0

So I've decided to bite the bullet and bought from BMP. It was the Nokia 1800 in the end but its not the phone I was after but the contract.
Ordered 2 (one for missus) and having gone thru Quidco as well, I should hopefully get £30 CB per contract from them as well.
I pretty good with following the rules, been sucessfully getting cash back deals for about 5 years but it'll be about 5 - 6 months before I can report back on if my CB claims with BMP have been successfull (first bill submission if the 4th one).
Before ordering, I called customer services to ask what exactly "unlimited web and email" meant. Call was answered quickly and answered efficiently. So good start as far as I am concerned.0 -

Thanks for the update. Did you port your number over?
And what exactly does "unlimited web and email" mean?
