CPW O2 customers will eventually be migrating to O2 direct - I was informed of this by a few of their staff this week on different days.

I've used CPW Direct, e2save and just recently mobiles.co.uk. I've never had a problem with CPW Direct and they are very flexible. I remember them telling me 18 months ago (when I took out my contracts), that a Cashback claim can be sent in at any time and all 3 or 4 claims can be sent in at one go when the last claim is due also. I obviously didn't test that one out but I always send the bill (as stated in an email from one of their Customer Service advisers) within 60 days and never had a problem.
Now, I can also confirm that they no longer offer Cashback by redemption deals. I'm at the end of my contract(s) and I would prefer to stay with them but they can't compete with some of the online cashback offering retailers now.
I don't know about CPW Direct O2 customers moving to O2 Direct but someone from O2 told me that the online retailers (e2save and mobiles.co.uk) will be billed by O2 Direct and not by their parent company, CPW Direct. Can someone please confirm/deny this for everyone?
It is of relevance to me as I would like to "port"/"migrate" my CPW Direct O2 pay monthly number onto an e2save O2 pay monthly contract. I can only do this if they are different "networks". If they are both billed by CPW Direct O2, then I don't think I can do this - it will be an "upgrade", I believe! Complicated?!

have been on the phone this morning to try and negotiate a new retention deal but the guy didnt even seem to know what i meant when i said i didnt want a new phone just a new deal and didnt care if it was 24mnths. he kept offering me simplicity at £15 with no discount for keeping my phone

do we have to go to O2 direct now or are there just no deals around? also anyone got the up to date retentions number or do i just ask for them when i ring?

    many thanks for any assistance

i only got offered a simplicity deal for 10quid a month too, its slightly better than the o2 direct deal slightly more mins but less texts and im still billed by cpw.

its only a 30day rolling thing so i might upgrade in next few months, cpw didn't seam interested in offering any cash-back or any deals, hence why i settled for simplicity.

i suspect things are getting tough in the mobile market and hence why theses retention deals seam to be vanishing....
  • Hi all, I'll like to know what the deals are for 02 CPW upgrades. I'm thinking of a BB 9780. Also, what's the best opton if my contract isnt due for renewal till August? I got the 35quid, 540 cash back, 600mins deal early this yr.
    Thank you.
  • Someone may be able to answer that in August 2011.

you are a bit limited at the moment.

I was on a full cashback deal a few years ago and rang them halfway through the 12 month contact asking to cancel that and take out a new 'expensive' contract.

they couldn't do anything there either.

dont know what's the best deal at the moment but i rang the disconnection department, told them what orange is offering (a better deal) and he said to me straight away that he cant match that. One day later... got my PAC code...(after submitting my disconnection form online).

been with them for the past 5 years. oh well... their lost.
