So sorry to hear it didn't happen but you will find something soon, I'm sure

Keep your chin up honey. Interviews are hard but you will get better in time. Volunteering sounds like a good idea x

  • Thanks Granny :) Feeling a bit more positive this morning (despite not getting up as early as I'd planned!)

Had some good news before going to bed last night, though will put volunteering on hold until I hear anything. We have a play gym locally which is inside one of the churches and they're short staffed. My name has been put forward as someone who might be able to help out for a while so they don't have to close for any sessions. Hoping the person who runs it may ring today so I can sort other things for other days I'm not needed there.

Until the phonecall, I've got 4 applications forms to fill in today so I can post them off (though I currently only have 3 stamps!)

  • Well the feedback from my interview was more positive than I expected :-) the head called back on Friday and said I'd given a good interview but needed to link things more to my own experience... Which would be great if i had plenty of experience.

Had a lovely weekend with the boyfriend and a day out with his best mate and his partner on Saturday :-) i did lose miserably at crazy golf though i blame the fact it was so windy haha! he's got very excited about one of the jobs I'm applying for as its much closer to his house than mine and keeps suggesting that if I get it I'd have to stay over more :-)
Tomorrow will have to be a busy day of job applications and looks like phoning the job centre again despite being told the 'technical issue' that made my last payment late wouldn't happen again... If the whole process of having to sign on didn't stress me out so much it wouldn't be quite so frustrating... Its not like I do it for the fun of it! TTFN xx

  • On another note I have finally figured out MSE on my tablet... Having discovered that everything but the text box disappears when I try to write a reply... I've now accidentally discovered that it works again if I rotate it once I've clicked in the box to type (and this is the first time I've not had to rotate it to make it work... Weird!) TTFN x

  • I've been a busy busy bee today! Volunteering at day centre where I keep getting thanked! I don't feel like I'm doing much really (less than everyone else I feel because I haven't quite got to grips with everything yet!) but I suppose doing it with a smile on my face and dancing around to my internal soundtrack helps cheer everyone up! I've also sent off 2 more applications. One for a job I'd like, and one I'm not really wanting but it would be work, though I'm hoping that I might hear from the one that closed today as it'd give me more opportunity to see my boyfriend during the week. I'm hoping tonight I'm going to find out what he's got planned for his birthday. He's basically said we're going away somewhere...but won't tell me where (frustrating since I need to get my passport renewed if it's somewhere abroad he's plotting!) He's left work early so hopefully he'll be here to tell me soon! Just listening out for his noisy car pulling up outside!! TTFN xx

  • We're going to the lake district :-) a little b&b farm place in the middle of nowhere... So far out if the way the owner has been on holiday before and left the door unlocked! Its not anywhere exotic but I know my boyfriend loves that area and it'll be nice to get away... And we can help out feeding the animals and stuff... Makes me think of The Famous Five!
Not feeling overly motivated today I know I need to do something more than watch Doctor Who but I'm so bored of application forms TTFN xx

  • I have neglected my diary a bit recently. It's been a busy few days with a Scouting training camp last weekend in the cold and a few more job applications this week, and volunteering yesterday. Feeling a bit blue if I'm honest. Meeting with personal adviser at Job Centre later and having to accept a loan from my boyfriend to get through the next few days has made me a bit miserable. I know it's just a blip as I was feeling pretty good yesterday and I need to be cheerful again by Tuesday as I've got another interview :) There were over 60 applicants and they're only interviewing 4 so it's a step in the right direction! I really should focus and get on, but I'm a bit unmotivated today!TTFN x
