  • Thanks Granny :)
I haven't decided yet whether it's a good thing my parents are away until Wednesday or not. On the one hand it'll be nice to have mum fussing about making me even more nervous, on the other hand it would be nice to have someone make me a cup of tea on the morning (as they always have done when I've had an interview as otherwise I won't have breakfast!) Hoping I can convince my boyfriend to come over for the night, though he would have to get up quite early to drive to work. At least with them not here I can mope around the house being miserable if I don't get the job...and no one will get annoyed at my inability to sit still/concentrate on conversation while I'm waiting for the yes/no phonecall!

  • Have had my BF on the phone for nearly 2 hours tonight while I had a good old panic about tomorrow! I KNOW I can do this job so why do I have to get in such a state about it!? It's a step down from what I'm trained to do, but it's valuable school experience and the school seems like just the kind of place I want to end up :) I've had a long soak in the bath, 2 cups of camomile tea and am curled up in bed watching a film (about 2 hours earlier than I have been recently!) Time to switch off and *try* to sleep TTFN x

  • Thinking there may be very little sleep tonight! Hope I find out early tomorrow...though it would be just my luck it'll be in the middle of a visit to a school!

  • Well I got the call. Was just leaving the bus station to visit another school this morning when the phone rang. I didn't get the job :( A bit gutted but was expecting it really. Wish I could just find the job that has my name on it so I can settle somewhere and feel like I belong! It's getting totally disheartening because I know I can do all these jobs brilliantly, but I'm rubbish at articulating myself in front of an interview panel. If school based positions were based on a week's trial period I could nail it I'm sure!
Back to the applications I guess! The school I visited this morning was lovely and I'm posting my application off today (would have done it already if I'd not made a mistake!) and tomorrow I'm going to ring a school or 2 about volunteering to give myself more experience.
