Was going to have a fast day today. Got up & made cuppa for DH & me, came back to bed 'cos its snowing thickly & forgot & had my TWO ginger biscuits - hangs head in shame. Maybe I'll check the calorie content as part of my 500 or maybe I'll just join DH with the muffins this morning - decisions decisions!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I'm finally back on daily 16 hour fasts after life issues and I have to say mentally and physically feeling better. Just wish some of this weight would shift now!0

Be very careful, if you're anything like me! I have to be strict with my fast days, otherwise it would be so easy to slip into "I'll do it tomorrow" mode! I would advise you to calculate the biscuit calories and include them in the 500, and continue with your fast day.
I have even gone to parties on a fast day, and eaten/drunk less than I would on such occasion normally. Those days probably ended at over 500 kcals, but not by a lot, and certainly a lot less than a normal day.
Just to prove I'm no saint, over the 2 weeks of Christmas/NY I didn't fast, and ate a lot of goodies; I put on 4 kilos which I've only now ditched!Cogito, ergo sum.0 -

Hi all, long time lurker here
I see there are a lot of sites with a thread dedicated to the 5:2 lifestyle (which I've been doing since the Horizon episode aired, and have lost over 30lbs - almost back to my healthy weight now
). I recently set up a forum specifically for 5:2ers as the Facebook groups are all getting so busy and a bit disorganised.
I wondered if it would be alright for me to post the address of the new forums? I don't want to tread on anyone's toes! The site isn't plastered with adverts or anything and I'm not out to make money from it, I just wanted to provide somewhere for folks to discuss 5:2 more in depth. I'm a web developer by trade and am also working on a weight/bmi/fat% tracking system at the forum to allow us to accumulate some (anonymous to the public) data about how folks are doing with 5:2.
I totally understand if I'm not allowed to post the link and will go back to my lurking if I've crossed a line in asking!
Thanks,
Moogie

Hi MoogieT, not sure if you're allowed to post links to other forums, but you can put it in your profile info. That is where people have been putting links to their blogs, which are definitely not allowed in posts!
I would be interested in your 5:2 forum, so please let us know one way or anotherCogito, ergo sum.0 -
