I'm gonna be at around 700 cals today :/ felt faint this afternoon and needed to eat something. Only had a welsh cake on me (not sure why it was in my handbag!) which was 130cals and had a banana when I got home. Sigh.

Lol, sigh? For real? There are 100s of reasons that make one fast day harder than another. Most cave when they have a bad day and just scrap the day entire.

Don't beat yourself up over that! I've given up a few times after going over my limit for various reasons. It just doesn't happen for you sometimes, certainly nothing to be down about :)
  • Thanks guys. Just having a bad day, hence the sigh! And I'm quite proud that I didn't totally blow it by eating loads and loads.

Seemed to plateau - probably 'cos I'm nearing my 'goal' weight but I took Gonzo's advice - changed my FD to a Monday & went to the gym yesterday. Weighed myself this morning & my weight has stayed down - yipee - especially as last night I had Liver & Onions & mashed potato - yum! Toying with changing next FD from Thursday to Friday as maybe they've been too close together for me.

On a fast day, 2 weeks from my 1st but I didn't do last weeks due to feeling so ill. So only my 3rd fast.

Which makes the fact than I'm down 6lbs even more spectacular :D Had been trying to shift some with cutting down for weeks without a 1lb movement, now I've dropped 6lb in 2 weeks. Some people with PCOS find it helps reverse their insulin resistance and so makes weightloss easier, wonder if that's why :D

Now X stone 5lbs :D Yep, not revealing my actual weight!

  • Hi all

I've not fasted at all this week, I've not had a chance. Had a very hectic weekend as it was my OH's 30th birthday and we were celebrating....and also he proposed to me on Friday!!!!!!

So as you can imagine it's been crazy and I've drank my body weight in prosecco since then! So exciting!

We're also off on hols to New York tomorrow so I guess I won't be fasting til the end of next week. No doubt I'll have done some damage and will be glad to get back to it!

Good luck everyone fasting this week. I'll be back to join you soon!

I still read this thread even though I don't write on it as I feel a bit of a fraud with 5:2. I do really well for a few weeks then I have a week or two where it all falls apart. pah. I am losing so slowly it's unbelievable - only 1.5lb last month but if I'm being positive about it at least it's off not on.

If people stopped worrying about the number on the scales and started concentrating on the numbers on a tape measure, especially those regularly working out, I'm sure you'd all feel much better ;)

Weight means nothing really, as I've demonstrated before.
