Well done Doug! It's the inches for me that make me happier than seeing the scales drop, though that doesn't come in far behind :)

Well done too Pink! I'd love to think I could do a long race one day but the thought terrifies me.

As for me, I'm having 3 fasts this week (yesterday, tomorrow and friday). I stayed the same last week at 10stone 2, despite the scales reading 10 and 1/4 after Friday's fast :o Though like i said, it always slows down when i get to the stone mark so maybe 3 fasts this week will give it a kick in the right direction.

Plus I'm on afters and I never feel like having a big meal before I go to work, and it's far too late to cook one when I come in so fasting on this shift is always very easy.

1940sgal, you should definitely give running a try! It used to terrify me but then I started doing a mix of walk, run, walk, run. At first I could barely run the length of myself but it got easier especially when the weight started coming off too! Now I try to run a couple of times a week (when my back isn't gubbed!)...it's especially good on fast days as it takes your mind right off it. I've now run three competitive 10ks and have beat my PB each time. It gets really addictive!

Fast day for me today! Carrot and celery sticks to snack on, WW soup for lunch and prawn veg stir fry (probs minus the noodles) for dinner.

I've switched my fast day this week as I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow and I didn't think fasting on that day would be the best idea ever if I didn't want to faint. Feel's weird going through til Monday now without another fast though!

I already do run. I completed Couch 2 5K a couple of weeks ago and run as often as I can. I've decided I'm going to have 1 long distance run a week now and add to it each week and in between I'm going to try and improve my speed.
  • Good plan! When I did my first 10k I'd never actually run any further than 5k and I really struggled from about 6k onwards. Now I tend to do 5k during the week when I don't have so much time and try and do a distance run of at least 8k at the weekend. I definitely noticed my 5k time got faster when I added in a distance run!

Anyway, fast day for me today and looking forward to 3-bean enchilladas for dinner tonight! The temperature has taken a bit of a drop today so it'll be interesting to see how I cope with a fast day when I just want to eat comforting stodge!

I'm finding the cold weather easier! (when it's warm I want to drink beer...) I have a WW soup for lunch - 74 cals, which warms and fills me up, and lots of herbal teas to keep warm.

Fast day for me too. Thai curry for lunch and omlette for dinner.

I got my results yesterday. I've lost 3 1/2lbs, a total of 2.5 inches from hips and waist and 2.5% body fat. It's definitely given me the motivation to stick at it!

Missed over a week of fasting for various reasons, mostly coming down to poor planning.

    Fasting today.

What I have noticed is that, I have felt really centred around food....thinking about it a lot, but not eating as well. I've caught my self slipping towards mindless eating.....(was that my husband's popcorn I was going to sit down with last night?) and sugar cravings.

I find fasts ok, but today I have been thinking about food a fair bit, lol.

I've been really craving takeaway :(. Particularly tofy and stirfried veg and boiled rice, but I cannot find a nutritional breakdown and I'm keeping particularly close track ATM for my medical team so I'm not going to self sabotage so deposits my tofu craving I think I'll probably root around for something at home. I've been referred back to a dietician to address some new issues to do with my complex and changing health problems. (I am having problems with some food and malnutrition won't help so they want to check i'm not lilling myself that way) and partly why I am taking particularly good not of intake ATM.

I am hoping they will be supportive of the five two plan, it helps me so much, I feel so much better.

(I don't know why auto correct changed tofu to tofy!

Because its a bit of a trek from here to the town health food shop for tofu (not in our supermarket which is much easier access and I am afraid to day I am using a stick and having a low mobility and fairly high discomfort day, and I'm not really after the walk :o from the car park into town. :o.

I have dithered and dithered over this today, as its JUST what I fancy:D I'd like to get better at cooking tofu, mine is never that great tbh.
