So I'm guessing the hard bit is the 500-600 cal fast days, but surely it isn't that difficult....is it?

    It gets easier very quickly.

Today is a fast day. Just tried the low calorie noodles and definitely think I will use them again. Just need to find somewhere better (and cheaper :money:) that sells them.

I think it sounds harder than it is.

After an amazing holiday of over indulgence! So back onto 5:2 today. Fast day today. WW soup for lunch and jacket potato and beans for dinner. And cutting out alcohol totally for a few weeks!

We had a health promotion team in work today and according to them I have lost another couple of pounds and have excellent body fat levels for a man of my age, though that was an electrical measuring thingy and I will take it's result with a pinch of salt.

Great news there adouglasmhor - well done :T

I am back on track / brand new start.

Coffee for breakfast & another one mid-morning, cup-a-soup & apple for lunch and a delicious mushroom & spinach burger for supper with a pile of peas.

    Calories - 491

Felt tired and a bit 'negative emotional' this afternoon' but fine now.
    SAVER o:)
  • Fast day for me today and it didn't go too well. I was staaaarving all day and ended up closer to 700 cals. I did the great scottish run yesterday so I think my body was just actually hungry!

On the plus side, when I put some pics on Facebook from after my run I couldn't believe the amount of comments I got from people I've not seen in a while saying how amazing I look and asking what I've been doing! That was a lovely wee confidence boost. Got a new PB for the 10k as well!

Non fast day today, but keeping it healthy, wholemeal toast for breakfast, soup and veggie sticks for lunch, dinner, not a clue, but i'm leaning towards a leek and cheese quorn escalope with new potatoes and peas.

If I stear clear of alcohol, should be a good day!

I have some saved beef stew for my fast day tomorrow, was a bit tricky working out calories due to the water content adding weight but I managed ok (used an online recipe creator so it'd do weight accurately).

Have worked out if I make a chicken stew, heavy on the veg and light on the chicken (breast), I could have wayyy more than I could actually eat. And make enough to freeze some.

Kind of nervous about my first fast day tomorrow though!!!

Don't be nervous - they are surprisingly easy - I plan lots of things to do to avoid thinking/being near food. Work is easy as there are no shops near me to tempt me, then after work I take a long bath, paint my nails and drink loads of fizzy water

Well done pink petal and adouglasmhor! :T

Yesterday was the hardest fast for me so far. I was SO hungry. I went to a Yoga class to occupy my mind and stuck to my fast.

I am doing my official weigh in today. Fingers crossed!
