You're doing great with this. My target weight is anything under 10 stone and I got weighed this morning and am quarter of a pound over! Definitely will make target next week. I fast Mondays and Thursdays and have lost 9 pounds now over about 11 weeks, including a week on holiday where I ate enough for 2 people and put on 2 pounds.

Probably the easiest diet I've ever been on and I've tried many over the years.

    Ooh well done! :D

And thanks. I got on the scales this morning again after yesterday's fast and I came in at the exact same as you! I tell you, I can't wait til I see the scales show under 10 stone! :D

Apparently, exercise only accounts for 20% of a regime to lose weight, so 80% is diet. .

Nope, sleep is ª 20% as well - a lot of people miss that bit of the equation.

Hi everyone, not been around since Monday as I started a new job and was trying to find my feet. Still managed to fast but it was difficult as my new colleagues kept offering me things! I ended up just mentioning it to them casually and most of them knew all about it so all good now!

Anyway, official weigh in at lunch and lost 2lbs! So pleased as I was out all weekend. That's me only got 1.5lbs to lose to be at target. Definitely going to reassess this as I still have another few that could go from my bottom half but it will be HUGE for me to reach this as I'll have lost 3.5 stone since last year! Going to try to be extra good this week and get there!

    Fasting again today.
After body pump and CxWorx last night I could just make out my top 4 when I was getting out the shower, so body fat percentage has definitely gone down slightly.

I'm pretty sure I should use this so I can sleep loads more! :rotfl:

Well done all of you on your results. You're all very inspiring!

Wow - everyone is doing so well!
Welcome to the group AndyGB - since I've been on this diet my cholesterol has gone down over 1pt & I've not done/taken anything to target it so I'm very pleased. I believe a lot of people are reporting cholesterol levels going down so it may be enough for you
I've had three FD's since getting back & I'm down to 150.1lb so off to update my sig.
Keep up the good work everyone - we can do it!!!!

I went shopping last weekend for clothes. Thought I was a size 12 but was trying on size 10 tops and they were roomy. One blouse was on a 10 hanger but it turned out to be a size 8 and it was roomy. I also tried on a lovely size 10 coat in John Lewis and my daughter said I could go down a size. Couldn't afford it though.

All thanks to the 5:2 I have gone down 2, possibly three dress sizes from size 14.

I'm the same now! I was a 14-16 before and I still go into shops and automatically pick up a size 14. Then I remember and pick up a 12 but now I'm more like an 8-10 on top and 12 on the bottom. I can't get used to it and still don't feel like I'm actually slim. I don't know if that makes any sense! Maybe it just takes time to adjust!

Well, I said about doing this a while ago and never did, so I'm starting next week - fast days will be wednesdays and sundays most likely, I was thinking of weighing each Monday morning? Just because it's the first day of the week and I like that.

I'm morbidly obese so I'm thinking of around 600 calories a day not 500, but I'll allow myself some freedom, not give up if I go to say 700 as it's still a good reduction. Worked out 2 weetabix with a drop of milk is only about 150 calories! So that and a small ready meal (or homemade, but with depression I can't always count on that) gives me 2 filling meals for my fast days, shouldn't be ridiculously hard to stick to. I've been cutting down on normal days for a while so hoping it works.

I struggle majorly on period (well, off my pill) weeks so it may not be as good 1/4 weeks, but maybe with it only being 2 days I'll be ok - I guess I could try a higher restriction if the normal isn't enough, but even if I can only do it 3 of 4 weeks, I'm hoping I'll lose.

With exercise it should hopefully give me a deficit of around 2lbs a week to lose, would be great!

Fingers crossed. I may sometimes ramble here for support.
