Are those the noodles that have less than 10 calories? I've never tried them but now seems the perfect time!

I did a full workout tonight. I was worried I would have no energy but I had more than normal. I am rubbish at running (but enjoy it) and even managed my fastest time yet. I was on fire! Glad I swapped and saved my breakfast calories for after.

I think the whole packet of that brand is about 20 - that is supposed to be 2 portions but I had the lot, for 10 calories why worry. They don't taste of anything but go well in soups, stir fries etc. They do a rice version as well which makes a nice biryani.

Oh and the samon fillet was cooked with one skoosh of one of those oil spray thingies.

Definitely sounds worth a try! Where do you get them from?

Holland and Barret do a make, I don't know where the ones I used came from as my GF got them for me, but it was a supermarket.
You get "Diet noodles" "Zero noodles" and "miracle noodles" as well as Chinese or Japanese makes (which come from some big Chinese grocers).

they are often ambient rather than chilled though as I spent weeks checking fridges before I found out.

The Japan Centre in London sell these http://www.japancentre.com/items?search=tofu. They are slightly cheaper if you buy them instore. I did a lot of my early fasts on these, I think they're about 40 calories a bag, and I prefer them to the Holland and Barratt ones.

As Doug said, they don't taste of much, but they do add a bit of variety if you need it.

They do need a bit of a rinse before you cook them though, fishy smell :D

    That looks good Doug!

I'm fasting today and just had a tin of chicken soup. Will have a tuna salad at work later. Here's hoping i see something positive on the scales on Saturday morning. Each time I get down toward the stone mark my losses always seem to slow right down.

    Good luck fellow fasters :)

The fishy smell sounds lovely. :rotfl:

Ok I will check it out and see where I can find them. Thanks for all your help!
  • 1lb on for me this week! Unsurprising as I ate A LOT at the weekend. Saying that I had 2 perfect fast days and also got back to the gym (2 runs and a kettlebell session) after a couple of months off so I'm a bit more disappointed than I thought I'd be.

I have another busy food-filled weekend planned so I'm not feeling too positive about next weigh in either.

    Afternoon all,

Is it ok to join in on this please? have had a quick look through the thread and see that quite a few of you are doing the 5.2 plan but just wondered if anyone had had sucess with doing the 16/8 or thirder plan as its also known? sorry if I have missed posts discussing this, as I say I only had a quick look through the thread. I saw the programme but have not read the book but do plan to do so to get more info on this

Bottom line is I am short and a bit of a chubster at 5ft 2 and weighing just over 13 stone! so need to shift it, have tried every diet known to man and had some success with slimming world in the past but hate being on a diet and either become obsessive about it or complete moody pants! Years ago I never used to eat breakfast just naturally started eating around midday and had dinner at 7pm and never ate again until the next day and maintained a healthy weight so I am intrigued to learn more about this, breakfast started creeping back in around 7 years ago and am now wondering if the two are linked as have been around 2 stone heavier since , am not in a huge rush to lose it but a gradual loss would be nice, if anyone can share their success or any advice it would be much appreciated

    Thanks

I hope I've read this wrong and you're not fasting all week? Definitely not healthy!

I had a good fast day today. Managed to do a kettlebells work out after work, made me starving though and I ended up closer to 600 cals for dinner but not the end of the world!

I don't really expect to lose anything at my weigh in tomorrow after me weekend and on top of that it's my totm...as others have said I rarely lose on that week and get quite bloated. But hopefully I can at least stay the same!

OOOPPS meant to put 3 days this week hadn't noticed had put 5
  • Hi all :D had a very good week with a 5 lb loss! Mostly water retention but still a nice surprise. Fasting today - anyone else? Looking forward to Hairy Dieters chicken bhuna tonight!
