    Hey all,

Well done to the weight losers :T

I've got my own head sorted now and fasted today, calorie count = 498

I had 2 coffees in the morning, an apple at lunchtime and for supper I had a small piece of chicken and a pile of peas, carrots and broccoli. I really appreciated and enjoyed that meal.

I also drank loads of water during the day today and wonder if last weeks fails were because I was actually thirsty a lot of the time and just thought I was hungry.

Good luck to everyone fasting tomorrow !

Yes, I seem to be thirstier on fast days. And it certainly helps to have a glass of water by your side to sip.

Oh I am thirsty as hell on fast days.
Very tired today, for some reason today was hard. Bed time soon though and tomorrow a non fasting day!

It shows you just how much of your normal daily water requirement is provided by solid food.

Stop eating and you will need to drink more to compensate.

Well I'm a bit miffed this morning. Got on the scales on Saturday and they definitely said 10stone 2. Got on this morning and they say 10stone 5. So either I've put 3lb on in 3 days or it's something else.

I'm wondering if it might be a bit of water retention. I must admit that my water intake is nowhere near what it should be and I've hardly had any this past couple of weeks. I need to get back in to the habit of drinking at least 1litre a day.

    Either way, I'm stumped.

Anyway, I'm going to fast today and probably Thursday. I think I'm just going to make some soup today. That squash and apple one from the new Hairy Dieters book sounds lovely so will give that a go.

Good luck anyone else who's fasting today, hope it's a good one for you :)

Yesterday went well. I ended up with Veggie sausages for dinner 75cals a piece make for a filling dinner. Don't feel like you're fasting.

I also drink soya light instead of cows milk, you get so much more for your calories :)

Next fast day is Thurs, so meal planning what to have then.

    Good luck to today's fasters!
  • a 1.5lb loss for me last week so that's 7lb over the past 4 weeks. i think when i lost weight last year i was averaging the same per month. weird, but it still feels like i've lost a lot more than half a stone, some of my clothes feel very loose at the moment!

2nd fast day in a row today, really struggled to get through the day yesterday but think i might have a bit of a PMT, which i'm sure isn't helping.

do any other ladies struggle a bit more with fast days or notice a difference around your TOTM?
  • Must remember to keep away from the scales during my cycle, it's a horrible, disappointing experience.

    Not fasting today.

Abbie, yeah fasting around my TOTM can be interesting.

I wouldn't worry too much about it...weight fluctuates every day depending on how much water or...erm...solids...you're carrying. You'll probably find it'll even out as the week goes on! Just keep drinking water!

Yesterday was my best ever fast day. I wasn't hungry at all the whole day. I went for a run after work then did some cooking, had a shower then eventually though 'oh better have dinner'. I wish all fast days could be like that!! Hopefully that undoes some of the damage from my weekend pizza-fest!

First fast day of the week today. Sticking to my usual regime of coffee, cup-a-soup, fruit tea and ready meal :o Must get away from the ready meal, it's just laziness - I don't have to work out how many calories I'm having cos it says it on the box. Now tormenting myself with GBBO and planning an early night to avoid the temptation to snack.
