:rotfl::rotfl: Good point!
I mentioned fruit and veg because we're told they're "better for us". I know Michael said in his programme that we can eat what we like on feed days, but doesn't he also point out that on fast days it's good to eat as low-GI as possible to avoid post-sugar lows? I find eggs and carrots very sustaining, and it's surprising how a cherry tomato will just take the edge off hunger pang, so for me that's helpful. However if others find other ways work for them, that's fine too. None of us are the same.
Sorry, my post was not aimed at you but at those who criticise the diet and you are of course right about fast days and are giving handy tips on nutritious filling foods.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Fasting today. Ok so far, around 180 calories consumed for breakfast and an apple at lunch. Good luck to others fasting today. Well done to everyone, goodness only knows trying to lose weight is not easy and so many of us here are doing our best and supporting each other.
This method may not be the route of choice for a few posters, but for many of us it is. I for one know enough about nutrition & health to make an informed choice about the method I have chosen to lose weight and become healthier. I am thankful for all the support I receive here and for all the encouragement. Keep going everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I did point out they probably have little nutritional value but also that I like them and they fulfil the "need" for something sweet.

Weigh this morning and pleased to see movement in the downward direction again

Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

Well done, I've now lost 44.4 lb (20.14 kg) and still have a way to go!
Lost nearly 3lb this week even after heading to Burger King last night - lol! Oops - shouldn't say that, shouldn't I be starving myself instead?!
P.S. I know it had limited nutritional value (although the burger did have lettuce and tomato on it!) but who cares - once in a while it's worth it!0 -
Have a target weight of 190lbs at moment, but when I get there next week
I shall reassess .

Weigh in this morning, now 56.6kg, lost 4.4kg (9.5lb) so far and nearly at target weight. Also lost 2cm from waist, very happy with that. Although I can still "pinch an inch" as we used to say in olden days
I'll go to maintenance when I reach my target of 55kg cos I don't want to take things too far and I'll be a comfortable size 10 at that weight. And it's less than I've been for about 10 years!
What impresses me is those of you who've been doing this for months and lost stones; I admire your commitment and dedication :TThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
