Fasting today. I've got a couple of lunch packet thingys from asda. They're by weight watchers. Convenience food I'm afraid but it's not that often I don't cook from scratch. One was a thai red curry and the one i'm having today is a pasta thing. Comes in at 325 calories.0

Hi everyone, have decided to just keep a little check on my calorie intake on non fast days. So far I have not thought about recommended daily requirements because I don't want to get to hung up on counting every calorie. Will just see how this goes though -should be interesting at the very least.
Good luck to today's fasters. I was ok yesterday but always get a bit hungry around bedtime, so I just go and clean my teeth and read a good book. I think that helps. Funny how I rarely feel hungry the following morning and usually can put off breakfast until around 11:00am. Keep up the good work everyone, I am noticing some brilliant results!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Good luck to everyone fasting today! I managed to get through the day yesterday and avoid the toblerone temptation. It tasted even better today when I had a piece after lunch :-)
What is everybody's experiences of exercising while fasting? I usually fast Monday and Wednesday as my gym days are Tues, Thurs and Saturday. However, having to change my PT session from today to tomorrow. I could potentially change my fast day to Friday but I wondered if it would be that bad to just go and do it. I never know what I'm doing til I get there (my trainer is eeeevil!) but usually I feel like I have loads of energy on fast days...so would it do any harm?

With all due respect, I'd avoid quoting anything from the Quack Mercola's website, no matter how little grain of truth it may contain“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Well yesterday I had a good fast day, though in the evening was tempted to have a glass wine, but didnt so will be having that glass and a few more tonight
.
As far as I am concerned, the two fast days are doable, and as long as I don't go stupid on the other days everything will be fine, and I have been losing weight nice and slowly, probably how I put it all on
I have my fast days covered for the next two weeks, as they are in the freezer, and my DW gets to enjoy what she really likes to eat on my fast days, so everyone is happy !
I could not cope with counting my calories everyday, who needs that stress
So good luck everyone and happy fasting, shall be fasting to tomorrow as am moving my fast day forward as have plans for Thursday that don't involve fastingFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

Well I'm doing much better fasting today after giving in yesterday. Just had a blt for dinner from Jacqueline Whitehart's 5:2 recipe book, it was very good, I'll certainly do that again
Spent the last of my allowance on a cup of tea with milk and sugar so that's me on water now until breakfast! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Something I'm wondering about with regards to fast days and how long people fast for. I saw a post that mentioned several different lengths. How long do folk here do it for?
I finished eating yesterday around 8pm and then today I stopped at 5.30, so more than 24 hours have now passed.
I've also read some saying 36 hours. Is there a certain length that gives maximum effect, so to speak?0 -

I know but I was trying to find something as unsubstantiated as some of the stuff he posted. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I fasted yesterday so my last meal was the evening before (Mon). i would normally have a small breakfast on fast days and then nothing other than water/fruit tea until the evening when I would have the rest of my allowed calories. However, because I was still stuffed yesterday morning, I skipped breakfast and took a hard boiled egg and a nectarine for brunch.
So i fasted for about 15 hours up to then. then i had nothing from 11am to 7pm when i had a small bit of cooked chicken with spinach. and then nothing again til breakfast at 6 this morning.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
