There is a certain irony when you say a fasting diet is not a restrictive diet
I like some of Michael Moseley's programs but at the end of the day he is a journalist making money and recommending slimming world wouldnt be good for ratings or his pocket.
i am against fasting because of the fact that whatever anyone says it is a starvation diet and even if there are any hormonal changes these can be obtained with a few minutes visualisation.
Why would weight watchers try it? They get just as good results in the short term but in the same way they hit a wall and find it more difficult as time goes on. In a way Weight watchers is very similar in that it is a commercial calorie controlled diet but controlling in a different way.
Anyway one cannot show blinkered people anything so that is me done. You might notice I havent been selling any rival products or methods but was here out of a passion to see people reach their goals free of conmen and money making fad diets but it isnt really working so bye byemaybe if you hadn't been a patronising hectoring know nothing troll, using non sequitors and straw men, you may have had some success .Small amounts of whole fruit, which do contain fructose, are typically not a problem. As long as you’re healthy, feel free to enjoy fruit and berries in moderation according to your nutritional type. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Yay! Have we finally seen the back of Mr Helpful!?
Fasting day for me today. Feeling good so far. Glad to be back on it after only managing one fasting day last week and I really noticed the difference in my energy levels!0 -

I doubt it, I can't see him not wanting to have the last word any time soon. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Jeez, just as I say I'm feeling fine...someone comes back from hols and brings a massive toblerone for the team. I'm not hungry but I can't think about anything else! This will be a test of willpower!!0

Hi everyone, a fast day for me today -anyone else? All going well at the moment and feeling a little more positive after last week's loss.
However, I am owning up to a horrendously naughty weekend, which featured crisps, dips, onion bhaji s, and ice cream not in any specific order or all in one go!! So it's almost a relief to get back on track today.
This is another reason why the 5:2 is so sustainable for me, I love food and would hate to have to deprive myself of certain foods permanently, however, I do think moderation in everything and a little of what you fancy is fine as long as it's not all the time. I for one know I am destined to fail if I have to count every calorie every day. So onwards and hopefully downwards -even if it takes another 2 years. Keep up the good work everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Fast day for me too. Not sure what to have yet, I save all my cals for a large meal at the end of the day. After a weekend of eating what I want, I too look forward to today and that is why this way of eating is good. I have started to look at food in a totally different way now, and it definitely does me good to take time out! Keep up the good work:T0

Supposed to be fasting today but given up as work so stressy I've eaten 3 chocolate bars already. Disappointed with myself but I guess sometimes it's not to be. I've just had dinner so I'm starting again now and I'll do better tomorrow.

Well done to all fasting - even if you fall off the wagon from time to time. I'm sure my time will come!
I normally fast Mon/Wed and Fri but am meeting a friend for supper at the local Indian tonight. Not sure what to have from the menu that is not loaded with calories/fat.
I'll fast tomorrow, Thurs and Saturday probably.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Spirit - that's what I'm doing! Went out for lunch so am switching to tomorrow, Thursday and Saturday. Be glad to fast tomorrow as most definitely over indulged today0

Well I recalculated my nutritional needs based on my current weight and have decided to take a week off from fasting while I get used to my new allowance.
