How are people handling the fasting days? Any low energy levels?
But that's about it. Energy levels are unchanged, but then I rarely go to the gym on fast days (had no issues the few times I did)
I am hoping that this will disappear *when* eventually, we get some sort of summer weather.:cool:I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
I fasted today, just had home made cottage pie with extra veg. Could have gone without food all day though - wasn't particularly hungry. Does anyone else find this on their fast days? I haven't gone without food but I could which amazes me really as I'm such an over eater when it comes to food!
I'm so glad it's not just me! I thought I would really struggle with the fasting days, but I'm finding that I'm just not hungry for most of it. Even when I do feel hungry it soon passes and I could definitely go without food. Do you have to have the 500 cals a day, does anyone know? Often I only have about 450, and wonder if I should push it up to 500.0 -
I'm back with fasting having stopped at Xmas and not got back in. I fasted last year from the day of the programme but didn't lose any weight, probably because I overcompensated with cakes on the non fast days. I was in any event more interested in the health benefits. This time I'm hoping to to maintain healthy eating on the non fast days and lose some weight VERY slowly. I lost 3 & 1/2 stone with WW years ago but it all came back and I think it's more likely to be permanent the longer it takes to go.CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420

Hi. I am into week 6 and lost 6lb so far. I have every single one of my 500calls, and my diners are huge. I pile on the veg. Then have a yogurt and finish with a cappuccino about 9pm and another yogurt if I can squeeze the calories in. Weight watchers are really low, so I have them. Yum yum. I go right up to 7pm with nothing to eat, I find it easier cos eating early makes me want to keep eating. I do feel cold as well but still have energy. It is going slowly but I had less than a stone to lose.0

No, I also don't feel cold. I find my energy levels are fine. I tend to do 20 mins in the morning on the treadmill (before work) and 30 mins after work, I haven't noticed any difference on a fasting or non fasting day.0 -
Good weigh in this morning as have lost 2 lb, so that's the 1 lb I gained last week and an extra one , which means just 1/2 lb away from having lost 2 stone :j
Quite a good fast day yesterday, though I do seem to talk about food quite a lotFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

I'm fasting today and so far it's gone well. I went for a walk/run this morning and lunch was dahl and broccoli. I've got 300 calories left for dinner so I'm going to make pork fillet and fennel.
I have been doing a load of housework as well so that's kept me occupied and my mind off food.Trying to keep in budget.

Hello everyone
So glad were all going strong (longest I've ever lasted on a eating plan).
I haven't been posting regularly and that has been a reason.
6 weeks ago i started going back to the gym. C25K on the treadmill and weights (heavy ones).
Almost immediately my weight loss plateaued then started creeping up
I heard that muscle weighs more than fat and I'm sure that's true for really fit sports people but I'm pretty sure I'm still more lard than muscle.
Then someone posted on this thread that when you first start a weight lifting programme your body retains water to help repair the muscles. I'd never heard that before but it made sense.
Anyway my clothes still felt ridiculously (almost obscenely) loose so I persevered.
So today is my weighing day and I've lost 6lbs. As I mentioned there had been some creeping up so I can only really add 2lb to my total loss but that'll do me.
Even happier as its my last weigh in before my holidays. Usually I try on my holiday clothes realise they're all too tight and go out and buy some more. This year I had to buy a new bathing suit and jeans in a smaller size. Apart from that not only does everything fit better than before i can even slip into a few things from literally years ago.
Anyway my intention is not to brag (yeah right) but to inspire, so if you've hit a plauteau its not the end of the world.
I'd also like to thank the person who mentioned the water retention.
If i find the original post I'll do it there too0
