Well, i'm on my 2nd fast day so far, 1st one being Tues and I am hungry. Having to get the chewing gum out at the mo :o.

Going to have a yoghurt for lunch today and omelette for tea plus my teas & coffees but have accounted for the milk. I did sneakily weigh myself this morning and the scales were 2lb lighter but will leave the official day till Monday. That gives me another 3 days to eat like a pig as I will no doubt :(.

I'm at work right now and I can smell fresh baked bread where there isn't any!!! That is my ultimate, ultimate food love so I think the cravings are a coming. I've had no bread for 3 days now .
    Have a good weekend all.

One of my less successful fast days - ½ way through and ½ my calories used up. But I have been here before.

Thanks Eliza, and sorry for the stupid question but there seems to be a few different books, could you point me towards the right author?

    Thanks a lot!

I think she's talking about the one by Dr Michael Mosley called The Fast Diet. http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/mimi+spencer/michael+mosley/the+fast+diet/9538173/

I bought a different one thinking it was this one and was disappointed :o

karie, not sure if you have seen the horizon program (you can get it on vimeo/you tube)? that's also very useful. I didn't buy the book, i used the program and the internet for advice. Oh! and of course this great thread

Hope you don't mind me joining you. I started the diet this week and today was my second fast day.
Missed breakfast, lunch was a home made pot noodle.
It was a nest of wholewheat noodles in the bottom of a perfectly sized kilner jar, on top I layered up: very finely chopped cauli, mushrooms, 1tbs frozen peas, grated carrots, garlic, ginger, a chick oxo, soy sauce & lime juice. I took this to work and half filled with boiling water. Closed the lid and 10 minutes later 'twas done :). Was reall delicious and about 250 cals.
Dinner was a huge plateful of lettuce, dry fried mushrooms, griddled asparagus, loads of green beans, cherry tomatoes and 2 boiled eggs. This was also about 250 cals. I probably had bout another 50 in 2 cups of tea. So all in all about 550.

What does everyone think to this? Does it sound ok? I feel to have eaten quite a lot.

    Thanks

Woohoo! :T :T :T have lost my first stone! :j

That sounds lovely Vixtress, may have to try that pot noodle myself. Your food sounds fine although it is recommended that you measure yourself as well as weigh, gives a more accurate picture. There may be weeks where you don't lose weight but lose inches instead ;)

Well here's a slight surprise for me. I've just had a medical for a new job I'm starting and the doctor weighed me at 69kg, which is 10stone 9lbs. My scales at home this morning read 11stone 1lb. My scales are electronic whereas the docs are traditional ones. I don't know which one to believe but I know which one I want to believe! :rotfl:

For the actual weight loss, has to be the one you always use. But for the actual weight I'd go with the doctors, well that would be unless it made you heavier :D
