I'll tell you what's really good to help you stick to your fast day.
Its when you step outside the back door to get the washing and next door's cat has done a very large loose crap on the back door mat. Its when you step in it without noticing and you tread it into the house. Its when you have to throw away your shoes and you clean it up with toilet wipes and get it on your hand. Its when you have to pick up the back door mat and put it in a bin liner to throw out and you're retching as you do it. Its when you have to clean the bottom of the door frame and you're spraying the whole area with bleach over and over again when the whole area feels contaminated.
Its when you wash your hands over and over and when you put something in your mouth with your hands you remember and have to spit it out.
Fasting is a doddle today.
I remember doing something similar when one one of our dogs had an accident (18 years old so sort of understandable.) The only difference being it was outside our bedroom door and I had bare feet. I'd got to the bottom of the stairs before the stench hit my nostrils and I looked down to see poop squishing up between my toes.0 -
Well it's Friday and not a fast day for me, but I feel I have a degree of control of my inappropiate snacking.
like cutting the ends off my sons sausages, as he doesn't like them they went in the food bin instead of my bin
.
It's the little bits of leftover food that was part of my problem, not completely cured yet but our waste food bin is fuller than it used to be
I like to save it or the things I enjoy like cheese and wine !Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

I read about somebody who stopped herself eating her childrens' left overs by sprinkling them with washing up liquid.0

Morning everyone!
After disappointing results last week I have had 1 1/2 inches off my waist this week
Thanks for your replies, I think I was being abit hard on myself so am working on being abit more kind to myself in future. A loss IS a loss at the end of the day no matter what!
This week I was sure it would be worse as I have felt hungrier than usual all week and suffering mood swings which nearly made me chuck in the diet but thankfully I had a really nice comment from a friend at work saying how well I looked. Just what I needed to hear!
Well done elizabunny and 1940sGal on the weight loss! It's fantastic to see it working

Well done Elizabunny& DH! - I'm scared to get back on the scales - its DH's birthday today & we're out for a meal tonight (so thats the third since Friday ) I MUST get 2 FD's in this week just to stay the same :rotfl: at least this coming week & weekend will be quieter
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Well done to everyone who had a loss this week ... and anyone who stuck to the plan

Another 100% week for me - this is the first diet I've managed to stick to relatively easily for this amount of time for years.
Bought a pair of jeans in the next size down at the weekend. I'd tried them on a couple of weeks ago and they fit then but were a bit too tight...but this week they fit just fine :T:T
Chicken Salad pitta time for me now - then Gym tonight ... wow that whole sentance just doesn't sound like me - well the old me anyway!
good luck all

Fasting day today and I am hungry - even though I've eaten dinner! Odd cos up until about 4 I was fine.
I didnt loose anything last week but dont mind as long as I average 1/2lb a week - so hopefully something will happen this week!
When we were shopping this weekend OH commented on how much healthier our shop looked - lots of salad /veg. Even though he's not 5:2-ing he is still eating much healthier (we both are)
.
I have an exercise class Wednesday - my next fast day - hoping that will kick start things off as its in the morning.0
