Well done 1940sGAL I've been 'off the wagon' the last few weeks 'cos of lots of social things going on but I have managed to maintain so I'm happy with that. Only 2 weeks to go to a week in the sun so I will do another 4 days FD (maybe even try 4:3) in that time & hope I can get the last few pounds off - they seem to be the ones that are the most difficult to shift!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Thanks Silvasa!
I must say I love reading posts where people say they've 'fallen off the wagon' but also at the same time have maintained their weight. It's good to see that it doesn't go straight back on again should you have a few weeks off.0 -
Morning everyone!
Glad to see some more losses!
Afm I have just taken my measurements (as I don't weigh myself) and had pretty much no lossI had 1/2 inch off my hips but that's it. Very disappointed. I was sure it would be better
Thinking I should now invest in some scales.
Good news is I survived 2 weeks off without binging or falling off the wagon. Okay I may have had a couple or more of those malteser bunnies on my non FD day but still positive I can stick to this.
Next week is week 8 so hoping going back to work will kick start things again.
Good luck everyone0 -

You still lost 1/2 an inch though!:)
My measurements dropped really quickly at first but have stayed the same for a couple of weeks now. And don't beat yourself up over the malteser bunnies, think how much harder it would be if you never allowed yourself a treat. God knows it's how I've lasted, if I banned all the good stuff completely I'd have given up long ago.0 -
So pleased the warmer weather is here - fasting will be easier I think!
I have discovered Waitrose low calorie fish pie - its absolutely delicious - really creamy with big chunks of fish and only 270 cals .It was very filling and looked like a lot on a my plate which I think helps too.
Faith - its defo fine to have the odd treat - I had a chocolate bar today - I think it really helps that with this way of eating you can have the odd treat on non-fast days.
I have lost 1lb this week so about 4lbs in total - I was calorie counting for a bit before starting this and I know I would be really struggling if I was still just counting calories.
Good luck to fasters this week - I will be Mon and Wed.0 -
I've just finished my first week on this regime, I know it's very early days, but as other posters have said, this way of eating does seem sustainable. I made the "mistake" of weighing myself today, a day earlier than planned. (I have a tendency to weigh myself everyday, but I have resisted this quite well this week, most days anyway
)
I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw, but will stick to Monday as my weigh-in day. I have decided that I will not be disappointed if tomorrow's weight loss isn't as good as today.
Fasting days next week: Monday and Friday
Hoping we all have a good week.0 -
Week 12 and fast day here, been a little tough this morning, but managed to last till noon till I had my soup.
My fault as should know by now, not to have too much to drink the night before a fast day
Well have my curry to look forward too, which should look a bit like this:
Curry sauce using bbc curry in a hurry as base. 97kcal
1 coley. 86kcal
100g spinach. 25kcal
50g brown rice. 170 kcal
200g butternut. 80 kcal
Total. 458 kcal
1 cal spray used for butternut so minimal kcal of oilFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier
Total Loss=41.6lb0 -
I picked up a 'Daily Express' that someone had left behind in Clacket Lane services and have been reading Amanda Hamilton's take on this. Anyone read her version of intermittent fasting?Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Next FD is Thursday BUT Friday I'm going out with DH, Family & Friends as its his birthday & Saturday we've a social function to go to. Then I've only got 3 more FD's to my holiday :eek:Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
