Skymist Thanks for that information. I'm 67 and until very recently have been able to throw any and everything down my throat! I've never had indigestion or other tummy problems. It has all come as a bit of a shock to be honest. Will be giving up tomatoes for a week to see if that makes any difference. Not dirinking green tea has definitely improved the 'itch'.
One of my daughters (42) has in the past couple of years developed an extreme reaction to gluten and some other products. She has totally changed her diet and has found that eating out just doesn't work as even so called gluten free products bring her mouth out in blisters. When she was young, if it was edible, raw or cooked, she ate it.
Eating is such an important part of life it is sad that we are having problems in later life.
    Good luck everyone.

None of those things you are drinking are what I would describe as heallthy to be honest.

I never claimed that what I drank was healthy, but it's healthier than diet coke which is what the poster is drinking.

    I agree.
Also, don't forget to add the calories from the squash as they can add up to quite a lot.
Why not try plain bubble water with a squeeze of lemon juice?

Calories from the squash are negligible as I only drink no added sugar. Thanks for your concern, but I'm happy with what I do drink and don't plan on changing that any time soon.

    No worries then...

I don't know if anybody else is the same, but I used to drink diet coke without any issue and tried one of the super low sugar free jelly as fast day treat and found the after taste from the aspartame unbearable.
Tried a diet coke on a fast as well and found I could definitely taste it more.

So in what way is no added sugar squash any healthier than diet coke other than no caffeine?

Your computer doesn't shrink pictures that are too big for your screen?

Fasted yesterday and had 491 Calories, slept like a log, fed and walked hounds, had a reasonable breakfast, two small toasted crumpets with some vitalite and two veggie hot dog sausages on bread with a cup of Ceylon tea and I am off to metafit - bank holiday for me.
