Ouch!! Yes, I've had experience of a severely (and repeatedly) sprained ankle. I can feel your pain!
I would say that if it's been 3 months and you're still getting pain, I would consider either going to your GP and asking for a referral to physiotherapy (in some areas, including mine, you can self refer without seeing your GP) or just downloading some physio ankle exercise sheets and following them every day.
Thanks - good idea re the exercise sheets - I'll try that first ... I'm not really a one for going to the Docs! Will give it a month - if not I'll go Docs - thanks!0 -
I'm just starting week 8, and still feel positive about this diet... Normally would have given up weeks ago because I find them faffy and too restricting. Nothing lost this week but that's fine, as I know it will eventually.
Fast day today and I'm looking forward to my fish and couscous tonight, I think it helps that I've found something to eat that is low cal plus delicious.
Mind you I'm not looking forward to standing in a freezing cold playground (I'm a Dinner Lady) for an hour ....0 -
FD for me also today and wk 9, pleased that am running out of holes on my belt
Soup in a while then fish and roasted vegetables tonight
Find it easy to resist snacking on FD even when making a meal for my DS and DWFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier

Having read the entries on here I am really inspired to take part – fast day will be Wednesday. I don’t have a lot to lose – not actually overweight but all my fat is stored on my stomach which I know is the most unhealthy place to store it. I am pleased to hear people have found the fat has really shifted from these areas – which is perhaps due to hormonal changes from this diet?
I am planning to have an apple, kiwi fruit and maybe celery or a carrot for lunch and then save up for a low calorie meal from M&S – they have ones for under 300 calories. I may bulk this out with some veg too and an instant hot chocolate in the evening – does this sound OK – should be under 500 calories.
I love the idea of a stir-fry – please can you tell me exactly what you put in it – do you just use veg and soya sauce? I love stir fry but have never actually cooked one!0 -
Fasting today and the office is absolutely freezing.
I thought I was prepared wearing 2 jumpers and tights underneath my trousers, but still freezing...:eeek:Wine_of_the_World wrote: »I love the idea of a stir-fry – please can you tell me exactly what you put in it – do you just use veg and soya sauce? Stir- frys are dead easy and it's a case of whatever veg is lurking in my house.
I think tonight I will start with an onion (in a bit of oil), garlic, red pepper, carrot, courgette, pak choy and broccoli; maybe a tine of water chestnuts or bamboo shoots. With a bit of soy sauce at the end. Possibly a bit of left over rast chicken too.
On non fast days, add nuts and noodles.
You can use ready prepared sauces for different variety of flavours; just check the labels for calorie contents.I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -

Thanks -sound easy! I think it must be more filling and healthy than relying on ready meals so I may do this instead :T0 -

Every cloud...
As someone who regularly has GI issues please don't fast again until you are fully recovered. You'll probably need a few days of eating lots and lots once you are able again too, if your body keeps asking for food then heed it's call rather than thinking "i'm supposed to be fasting not feasting" Then once things level out it's be safe to resume the 5:2.0 -
Well fasting day is doing OK so far - I have only had 23 Calories today - a light cheese spread triangle. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Started last week, fast days were Tuesday and Thursday. I found it hard but stuck to my 500 cals, This week im fasting today and Thursday.
Got on the scales this morning and was gutted to find Id only lost a pound :-(
Has this happened to anyone else?
I have a LOT to lose and I really thought given the amount I usually eat I would have seen a bit more of a difference. I didnt overindulge on feast days either.0
