Good luck and the fast days can vary but once you have done one, you know what you are doing and they do get easier.

I've never been on a diet before, so on my fast days I'm finding myself trying all sorts of weird new foods I've never had.
Today's new thing: cottage cheese on 3 crispbreads (95 cals). Quite yummy!
Will try the Warburtons Thins with Marmite next week, that someone on here has mentioned. Sounds good.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
Oh no!!!!!
Not fasting today ( that was yesterday and I was once again freezing)... called home early because of a poorly child and ate my way through a large quantity of chocolate. Knew at the time it was a bad idea, but kept on going and now I feel sick!!!!!!
will I ever learn????I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
Fast day for me today too. Was going to do it tomorrow but it's payday so wanted to treat myself
Just finished a beautiful piece of grilled chicken covered in cayenne pepper and thyme with some veg. Was delicious!0 -

It's quite bizarre I weighed in on Tuesday at the same weight as I have done for the past 3 weeks now but I am wearing a size smaller trousers for work as the size I was wearing a month ago are hanging off me. I'm sure the actual weight loss will happen soon but I'm very happy with the inch loss.
That's interesting. My scales haven't shifted downwards in two or three weeks but I've had to buy a belt to hold up my favourite trouserscrumblepie wrote: »Mands - it sounds like your going through a tough time. Take care of yourself and forget the diet/eating thing for now.
That's very sweet of you, thank you. I'm sticking with the 5:2ing for now but it's clear that when I get stressed I find things a little harder. This week it would have been very easy to fall off the wagon.
I'm in Cyprus so things are challenging right now. Not in terms of immediate financial losses but more in terms of a country in turmoil and dark days to come and people I know who are having difficult times.
But, on the positive side I haven't been rude to anyone who's bleated that it'd better be sorted out in xx day's time 'cos they don't want their holiday ruined. Yet

So far today I've had 3 cups of tea and a couple of crispbreads with a bit of tuna and cucumber on top. I don't count the milk in tea so I've had around 120 cals of food so far.
I'm working a night shift and have packed my picnic for later! Even though I should have 500 calories for the day I don't cope very well with such a small amount so up it slightly to nearer 600 to stop me hitting the chocolate bars.
So I have soup, salad, crackers and dairylea, melon, pickled onions and jelly. Around 450 calories. I found having snacky things to pick on through the shift is easier. It also means if I don't want to eat something I don't have to.0 -

Hello,
Very disappointed with myself, feeling quite down about it. After two good, relatively easy fast days on Monday and Wednesday and exercise every day so far i've had a massive pig out this afternoon (it's a feed day today).
Day started well, did my hours insanity and had a protein shake and a small cup of unsweetened muesli with almond milk, a 70cal alpen bar at 11 o clock and then at half two decided to have lunch - cue MASSIVE binging session. In the space of about 45 minutes i managed to put away a big bowl of porridge, two mugs of granola and about a million ryiitas with very thick unsweeteed peanut butter.
I'm so annoyed at myself. I'm only 5'1 and i'm not OVERweight but i do have a few extra ibs that i want to shift and i want to lower my body fat % - as soon as i overeat even a little bit you see it on me SO quickly! Grr! I've not had anything for the rest of the day now because i'm not hungry and i'm disgusted at myself for eating so much in such a short space of time!
Tomorrow is a new day - no more granola!0 -
Dont worry - tomorrow is a new day. Maybe have some really filling veg soup to start with next time with some steamed chicken breast. You dont seem to have had any protein, maybe that could help. :-) Jane0
