thanks crumblepie:) your username is giving Me cravings and I'm on a fast day lol! :)
  • Morning everyone , I've had a real conflict mentally this last week re: should i pack slimming world in completely and just do this or should I try and tie both in together I still don't have the answer but I have at least told hubby about fasting which is a load of my mind, anyone have an opinion ? My main guilt lies I help out a lot in group and also my 6 year old adores going which sounds bonkers as the consultant is a good friend.... Anyway iv decided that 2 fasts 3 fuels (counting cals) and 2 free days my goal for next 4 weeks, I know I seem to be overthinking the whole way of life but I can't lose all control yet ... Sorry for crazy sounding post LOL .

Personally, welshdreamer, I would ditch the slim fast because I can't see how you can ever expect your body to cope with learning how it feels to be full or empty when you are getting your calories in a drink form.
I am deeply mistrustful of things like this unless they are used for someone who needs to ADD to their weight alongside some food IYSWIM.
Not sure if I'll manage my fast day today, was thinking about doing Saturday or Sunday instead but I haven't had breakfast yet so might survive the day without going over 500. We'll see.

If you think you overall benefit from it (keeps the focus and a social outing for both you and your daughter) then I don't see that it's a problem.
Would you have stopped going once you've reached your target?
Maybe you can go less often? (don't know if it's allowed).
Just keep in mind that the leader may not be delighted if you are converting would be customers to 5:2 dieters!

Also fasting today and no food with me so no temptation.

Decided at six o'clock this morning I am fasting today, so far so good, I already had a low cal lunch sorted so breakfast was just a cup of tea and I will wing it when I get home.

I am on the last hole of my belt and it's still loose today, but luckily my paunch is not pushing the waist of my trousers down any more. Still a work in progress though.

I think I'm going to Still go for the foreseeable future as i enjoy it also enjoy the plan and know it works so going to trial and error until I can lose the guilt of eating nice foods and eat normally and rid the rubbish habits that I've built up for the last 30 odd years...sounds glum but I'm relieved x

Hope everyone has some of the gorgeous sun we have in wales at mo.

Morning all, a fast day for me too. I have only had water so far.

Old Socks old Stick Well done on reaching your goal, that's brilliant:T

elletee What a brilliant weight loss, you must be so pleased:T

Good luck today's fasters! I feel like I'm having a 'fat' week this week. I have been really disciplined and kept up with my exercise plan, but I feel 'fat' so not expecting too much from weigh in on Saturday. I may have lost another 0.25" off my waist and my clothes are certainly becoming looser, but I just don't have that 'thinner' feeling this week.

I have half been expecting to plateau for a while as I am now lighter than I have been for 20 years, so the next lot of excess is going to take some shifting I guess. I really must drink more water and am making a special effort today. I think facially I look a bit 'floppy' and think this could be down to not only the weight loss but the fact that I simply do not hydrate my skin enough. I don't want to develope that 'Shar Pei' look :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:-gorgeous as they are.

Keep going everyone, we are all doing great:T
