I exercise on fast days, but I run. I don't know what Insanity or metafit is like, but I run for about 45 mins every night.
Right, so I have reached the weight that I wanted too :j So this week I should really only fast 1 day (6:1) but I have had a second fast day todayI'd like to know if anyone else has reached their goal weight and if they have maintained doing 6:1.?? I have it in my head that surely 6:1 won't have me maintaining and I can still eat cake :eek:

I tried zero noodles tonight, I'm not sure about them. I only boiled them for 3 minutes, I think I'll try 5 minutes next time.
I tried them for the first time today, too.
I threw them in a stir fry and cooked them for about 3 minutes. They ended up really nice! Thanks everyone for mentioning them, I'd never heard of them before this thread.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
Thank you very much for all of the replies re: exercise. Perhaps it is a case of mind over matter!
Anyway, with it being a fast day i delayed insanity until around 3pm today so that i would be able to eat afterwards if i was hungry!
I ended up having WW 51kcal noodle soup and two ryvitas (90 cals) at around five.
I then roasted half a pack of winter veg (90 cals) in 135 cals worth of olive oil (one tablespoon), smothered in salt, pepper and spices - i was dubious about how this would turn out but it was absolutely delicious and amounted to a decent sized bowl - i'll definitely be doing that again! I also had an apple (71 cals) afterwards and amazingly i feel very full! I think i even have 60 calories to spare if i want them!
Feeling much more positive about the fasting after today - it's not been too difficult at all! Vegetables are definitely the way forward it would seem!0 -
Crumble pie, is it your first night (so you're up for 24hrs)? If so, I don't find it doable yet either. If it's a night where I've been on the night before, I just treat it like a day because I'm in the mode then. As you can see, I caved come 4.30 on Tuesday morning. That is the worst time of night anyway and even though I still had salad left, it wouldn't work the same.
I haven't lost weight nor am I trying to but I have noticed that my back fat has gone. I'm keeping a close eye because if I get too thin, I'll have to go 6:1. If I calculate my BMI, I'm already under for my height but I have a very slender frame and more weight just goes on my back and bum so I can tell if I'm too heavy for my frame. Besides which, my knees protest!
Hope you have a busy enough night for it to fly past- ours dragged on Monday.

I will be struggling to find 2 days to fast this week as Tuesday is the only day I can and I am out that night. Was wondering would it be counted as a fast day if I fasted from 12pm Monday until 6pm Tuesday. Any advice much appreciated:)0

Kaz2904 - It's the second night shift so a 'normal' pattern of sleep during day/work night/ sleep today - I failed miserably trying to survive on 500cals by being awake for 24 hours too.
Hollowhead - sound fine to me! You could have a small meal on Monday night - 300 cals or so, then have another 200 cals for lunch on Tuesday or nothing at all, then back to 'normal' food after 6pm Tuesday. Well that's what I'd do.
Last night I think I'm close to 500 cals with the soup, crackers, fruit and choc. The salad is still in the fridge - I've got some pasta I can add to it tonight as I don't have to worry about calories!
It may sound odd but I think it's getting the right mix of food to eat - I took in a massive mixed fruit salad and I could pick on a couple of pieces during a break if I was peckish and then leave the rest for later. The soup I had was really filling, with a cup a soup thing I need more to eat with it, my home made effort is the same calories but much more filling. I had crackers as I needed a crunch and chocolate because it's chocolate!0
