    Morning all.

After my gain last week I am pleased to say that I lost 2lb this week, so that's 5lbs in 6 weeks, and back to my pre Christmas weight. I plan on doing 5:2 for one more week as I've got a weekend away next weekend and know that I'll be over indulging:eek: then I plan on reverting to 6:1 to hopefully maintain.

I know that if the weight starts to creep back on I can revert back to 5:2 for a couple of weeks and keep in control.

My son is cooking Sunday lunch as it's Mother's Day and I plan to enjoy every morsel:)

Good luck everyone else and keep up the good work!

Others have posted what their water/fat levels are. How do you find/work that out?

A lot of bathroom scales tell you ... not the most accurate (from one to another) but a good indicator of losses :)

Hmm thought so. Mine don't. But so long as they keep going down in the stone/lbs I couldn't give a fig :)

I bought these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Salter-Analyser-Bathroom-9141-WH3R/dp/B003X3A3EY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362932963&sr=8-2 from Tesco and as stated probably not accurate on body fat but it gives me a reading to make sure it's going in the right direction.
  • I have never heard of this diet, but I just wondered if this would work alongside the slim fast diet?

The meal shakes are 230 calories. I have 2 shakes a day, 2-3 100 calorie snakes and a tea of up to 600 cals.

Would I just have 1 shake on the 2 fasting days and then say a 150 snack at lunch and 150 for tea? I would love to try it, but want to also stick to my slim fast as I am sick of having to calorie count and constantly think about my next meal.

To be honest, I personally think as long as you have no more than 500 cals on your fast days it doesn't matter how you have them. Slimfast shakes have some nutrients in them so I don't see a problem with it.

Give it a go - Good luck!

Personally I'd ditch the slimfast and just do this diet properly. On my fast day I get up at 6am have a cup of black coffee with no sugar, and again at 9, 12 and 15:00. At 18:00 I have a Tesco Finest salad 100 calories and one piece of spicy hot chicken 240 calories followed by a coffee and one small piece of dark chocolate 40 calories? That's it until 9am the following morning when I have breakfast. Non fast days I eat chips, chocolate, bread and loads of other rubbish and don't count the calories!
