    elizabunny - what fantastic results! Can i ask have these results been off the back of fasting for two days with a limit of 500 cals on your fast days? What did you eat on feast days? What amazing progress in such a short time!

    I'm going for my second fast day today. Going to fit some exercise in today so i think it will be harder for me as i'm doing insanity and it's quite intense so think it may play havoc with my brain (i'm used to having calorie splurges after these intense workouts!) Wish me luck!

    I think I'm going to change my fast days next week to Monday and Wednesday. Does everyone else change theirs? I haven't read anything that says it's better to stick to the same two days, so I'm assuming it doesn't matter.

    I usually do them Monday and Wednesday, but often switch them around to fit in with my schedule. I'm sure it makes no difference!

    Bought a packet of pork scratchings for tonight, didnt realise they were 528 kcal for the packet.
    Cheese would of better, lower kcal and lasted longer as a snack :(
    Following horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish :)
    Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier :D
    Total Loss=41.6lb

    That's actually the beauty of the diet; it's entirely flexible!
    I tend to do Monday and Wednesday, but I'm giving blood next week on Wednesday and won't fast on that day. Hopefuly, I'll feel up to it on Thursday.

    Fast day today and while at the gym I got on the scales, if they are right I have lost 10lbs in the last week or the scales at work are wrong. Will ask them to weigh me at my hospital appointment on Monday (I am having a Fibroscan) .

    I'm using my wii fit to weigh myself, should really use it for more than scales though ;)
    I would of thought as long as you use the same scales, any loss will be consistant.

    Well done Elizabunny - that's inspirational.
    I'm back on 5:2 again. Did my first day yesterday and it went well though I think I went a bit over 500 cals.
    Next fast day Monday.
    OH doing it with me so that helps a lot.

    I did 3 fast days this week, and I didn't find it as hard as I thought I would! Does anybody else do this on a regular basis, and if so does it make a big difference??

    I enjoyed a HM curry tonight which was delish, but I couldn't eat as much as normal which has really pleased me! Tomorrow I'm out for a mothers day meal so a real pig out this weekend.

    First can I thank hollowhead, ashleymack, 1940sGal and LadyinBlack, for the encouragement, it is so kind of you all and keeps me on the straight and narrow:)

    ashleymack My DH and myself are doing it exactly as we understand the MM book to suggest. I have 500 calories strictly on 2 fast days per week Monday and Thursday and DH has 600 calories strictly on the same 2 fast days.

    On non-fast days we eat normally, by that I mean 3 meals per day, with dinner in the evening. We both try not to snack between meals but weekends we usually have a couple of treats, and maybe a glass or two of wine. We also have puddings on non-fast days and DH takes some homemade cake as part of his packed lunch I cook everything from scratch, so we don't have any ready meals and rarely eat fast foods.

    I know I keep repeating myself but we don't count calories at all on non-fast days.

    I love the 5:2 because it allows me to lose weight without feeling at all deprived.

    Hope the exercise went well and today's fast:)
