Found today's fast really tough - usually fast in the week so I am busy at work and have less time to think about food. We're going visiting relatives for a few days so thought I'd better stick a fast day in before I went. Tea was chicken breast, brussels, carrots and brocolli with two Aunt Bessies yorkshire puds (only 40 cals each). Have lost 12lbs since starting 5 weeks ago, stayed the same this week and have to keep reminding myself that the overall trend is down! Could do with losing a couple of stone and would be happy with 1b loss a week. Will see what the next few days brings!
Snap! I found my first two fast days fairly easy as I was really busy at work - I did one yesterday as I didn't have any socialising/meals out planned but it was SO much harder doing a fast on a weekend when I was at home for much of the day as I kept thinking about food! So I will stick to weekdays in the future.
Ive lost 2lb in my first week which Im happy with - I only want to lose about 10lb as Ive already lost 8lb on Slimming World, for me the appeal of this eating plan is the health benefits as well as the weight loss.0 -
Morning all.
Weigh in today, and another 1lb lost, that's 3lb in 3wks:) Just need to shift another 2-3lbs and I will be at my target weight.I could probably go on and lose even more, but as a woman in her 50s I think that it sometimes doesn't do to go too slim, as it just make you look haggared, well tht's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!!0 -

Good luck to all those just starting on this easiest of diets. Monday and Wednesday are our fast days but change them, very occasionally, if we are going out. That is the beauty of this way of eating.
Think we will be having stuffed peppers for lunch and Hungarian mince for dinner.0 -
Sample diet :
Saturday and Sunday, eat drink and be merry.
Monday no food. Lots of drinks - tea and coffee with no sugar or sweetener are good - till supper
which is 400 calories (to allow for the milk in the tea)
comprising
- a tin of baked beans on a slice of toast with a dash of salami
or
- a whole pot of soup, covent garden type
Tuesday - as normal, within your TDEE, no booze
Wednesday : ditto
Thursday : as monday
Friday : no breakfast, 300 calorie lunch, pizza and wine supper
Saturday : small fry up brekky, no lunch, yummy supper
Sunday: fry up brekky, full on Sunday roast, no supper
and the Monday fast happily comes round again
result = BMI under 21 ....Counting the beans : £1
Knowing which beans to count : £990 -
Hello!
I'm starting this diet tomorrow. I want to lose just over a stone I think. I don;t own any scales but I'm just over 10 stone and a size 12 and I want to get back to a size 8-10 which I think is, for me, around 8 3/4 stone.
I'm planning to weigh myself on a friend's scales tomorrow if I can.
My fast days will be Monday and Wednesday.
I'll read back but has anyone any links to good recipe ideas? I'm planning to eat two meals of 250 cals each ideally.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

A friend did this, what 200 calories look like on the plate for a few different foods.

Hi all
Thanks for posting fast day tips and especially for the Skinny Foods link. I've put it in favourites to look at later.
I'm fasting tomorrow so fingers crossed all will go well. Had a bit of a splurge this weekendso need to get back on track. OH is fasting tomorrow too so should be ok - especially if the weather is like today.
Well done Eliza - an inspiration to me!
Good luck all and keep the inspiring weight losses coming.0
