5:2 diet

Hello, just thought I'd check in.
I had dental surgery last week (Gum graft- horrible as it sounds). This left me pretty weak so fasting was out of the question and through necessity i had to go for the little but often. So that threw the whole 8 hour window right out.
I'm hoping to do two days next week but it'll be quite difficult giving up breakfast again
However the week after I'm off ski ing so I'm not sure how doable it will be. I could say its an active holiday so i need my calories but truth be told, I can't get through a day on the slopes without a Brandy Hot chocolate.
I'll just get back on it when I get back.0 -
I must admit I'm finding this regime quite easy at the moment. I had fast day yesterday so no food from 9:00pm Monday until 6:00pm Tuesday, when I allowed myself a 300 calorie snack, then nothing until the piece of Christmas cake I'm eating now.
Being at work during a fast day definitely helps me keep on the straight and narrow.0 -
Got my fast day tomorrow! We've been out for a meal tonight, to one of those buffet places ... feel like I could burst right now! I need a fast day to recover : )0

Yes it helps to have a lot to do and no food available.I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
Hi everyone, can I ask a question on the 5:2 diet, please? I've been doing it for 3 weeks now and I find the fast days are fine and I can stick to it pretty well. My problem starts the day after I fast. I can't seem to get enough to eat! I thought at first I would maybe just eat more on 1 day but I find I eat extra for the remaining 5 days  This means that any weight I lose on my fast days goes straight back on
Does anyone else have this problem? Do you have any suggestions?

Maybe it might help to look at what you are eating on the non-fast days, and try to add in low GI foods that will keep you feeling full for longer?0

Did my fifth fast day today. Have lost four pounds so far, so fingers tightly crossed that another one goes by tomorrow morning.
I keep thinking that it can't be going this well, and that suddenly my weight will stop going down or I'll plateau or something. Hope not.
I went food shopping today (possibly a bad idea on a fast day!) and have bought so many yummy things to eat in the morning. Might actually go to bed early so tomorrow comes sooner...:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

On my second fast day today and I've found it easy to do which is a good sign, I think its easier to do whilst at work as there is less temptation! I'm going to buy some scales at the weekend as I don't actually know how much I weigh!0

Woop Woop - down to 152.4lb this morning :T Thought i was going to be stuck!! AND i had a win on the PB's - £25.00 (new clothes for the slimmer me
)
Next FD I think will be tomorrow as I have a really busy day - keep going all - its worth it!
Well done that's brilliant!
Fast day no 4 tomorrow -I seem to find Thursday's easier than Mondays -well I did last week anyway. I still seem to get a slight headache on fast days, nothing serious just a bit annoying. I think I still need to drink more water and hopefully this will solve the problem.
mumlady do you have the 5.2 diet book, there are some interesting pages in there about low GI foods.
azureblue Never mind, you're allowed a treat now and again. Is it your fast day tomorrow?Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin
