Many thanks to both, I already have a phone app which I've been using, but I do get extremely hungry in the morning (no way I can wait till lunch, and a soup will leave me feeling very hungry till dinner...).

Will read the rest of the thread to try to get more ideas.

Sadly my office is usually full of cookies, donoughts , etc, so temptation everywhere!

Mine too!! Just remember on a non fast day you can have one or two of them treats guilt free! :)
  • What about a soft boiled egg and slice of low calorie bread? Eggs are quite filling. Or you could have most of your calories AM, and then just graze on very low calorie food the rest of the day.

As for the cookies and donoughts I have no idea ... that would kill me too if I'm truthful.
  • Well done on your weight loss Elletee:beer: you'll get there no probs with 5:2 :T And the beauty of 5:2 is knowing on your eat days you can eat without having to scrutinise everything you put in your mouth. Plus the health benefits are fantastic too.

I usually can't sleep when I'm hungry, so not eating at night is not an option either.. I think I rather be hungry during the day.

Many years ago I did fastings of 11 days (having about 400 cal a day I think, although I never checked, it was with the syrup), so I know how hungry I get and how difficult it is.. sleeping was particulariy difficult with an emtpy stomach!

I'm determined to try this one though :)

ElizabunnyI fast from around 7pm the day before to about 8am the day after - 36/37 hours (depending when DH serves me my tea & biccies in the morning ;)) so it looks as if we're about the same.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

I'm lucky. I have an office to myself, so temptation is nowhere :)

That's ok then -thought I was suffering unnecessarily:D Hope you are doing ok today.

Thought I would go for a swim tonight. I haven't been for ages:o Might help me to burn off a bit extra on my non fast day. Don't really fancy dinner tonight so I'll have a bit less.

Welcome Alisha2008:) Have you decided on your 'fast' days yet? Good luck!

My 3rd fast day today and has gone really well despite having to battle through a blizzard to work this morning. Came home from work to find my DS baking bread, will be torture later when it goes in the oven! I'm starving now, but trying to delay eating to as late as possible to try and help with sleeping.

    Wish me luck!

If you can resist the smell of freshly made bread, you can resist anything! Good luck! :)
