  • Hi All,
I am going to London for a few days next week. Please could somebody advise me if I can still claim the National Rail London Zoo two for one offer? I understand that if I buy a National Rail ticket for the day that I am due to go to the zoo I can get the two for one offer. There are four of us so we are hoping to get two separate offers so I am assuming we will need four separate tickets. I have had a quick look on the National Rail website but in order to print the voucher, but it is asking for the destination we will be travelling from on the day which obviously I don't know at this moment in time. We are staying in South Kensington if that helps but will probably going by Tube and I am aware that Oyster Cards are not valid.
    Thanks in advance.

Paper tube tickets are not valid either.

Go to your nearest National rail station and buy an Anytime Single from Vauxhall to Waterloo for each person at £2.20 each.

A cheaper option would be to go Kings Cross National Rail station and buy an Anytime Single from Vauxhall to Waterloo for each person at £2.20 each (£1.10 for a child).

Thanks for your advice, that is what I intend to do. Do you know if I should be able to buy that ticket the day before? I.e. from Victoria Train Station on Wednesday but the tickets for Thursday?

Yes you can buy the ticket the day before, or several days before.

Make sure you clearly say when you plan to use the ticket, and check the date on it before you leave.

Hi, I could not find any discount or 2 for 1 offer on the london eye, even with the train ticket. Could someone please confirm?
    Thanks.
  • We're staying in London overnight on 4th September at Waterloo Travelodge. We're travelling from Mitcham Junction to Waterloo, using one day Travelcards each way, using the tram and Tube. If we buy our travel cards from Mitcham Junction train station rather than the tram stop and Waterloo Train station on the way back, will these tickets be valid for the 2 for 1 offers?

    The simple answer is yes.

Whether you need a travelcard on each day, rather than a single ticket, depends on the use you will make of it.
